Post Motor Heavy blue smoke on cold startup EJ25 2.5i

My 2008 2.5i Impreza is giving me heavy blue smoke on a cold startup. It smells really bad. And the smoke is heavy with oil and lingers close to the ground. The gaskets are new and the heads are fine. It is also not burning oil. The smoke goes away once the engine is warm. The motor sounds fine. I would really like some help. I lost my job and I have to get a diagnosis.

Really sounds like burning oil. Could be rings, could be valve guides. After shutdown, oil gets into the combustion chamber. When started after sitting a while, the oil burns off.
White "smoke" that disperses quickly = condensation/coolant burn off
Blue smoke that lingers = oil burn off
Black smoke that lingers = rich air/fuel mixture

Your oil loss may be minor, but I'm sure your level is dropping over time.
