Hi Steve,*

We tune NA setups through EcuTeK and its RaceROM features. This does require a license for the ECU which is $295 and the custom dyno tune is $595. I know it sounds like quite a bit but I do take quite a bit of time to work on it. I would see spending 4-6 hours tuning it and dialing in all the aspects of your request while offering a very smooth and enjoyable tune. Definitely would be different from the norm and very interested in tuning it.*

As for base tunes or "road" tuning we could offer this also. But ideally the Dyno would be the best for this setup to really dial in all aspects of the tune. The road tune would be the EcuTeK License + road tuning which is about $450.*

Basically 900$ for a custom tune lol
Wow. Stimikey was charging me $200 for a road tune that takes no longer than 30 minutes.

Noob question here... What are benefits of getting a tune on a 2.5i? What kind of gains can you expect? I ask because I don't see benefits of trying to tune EJ253... I have an 09 and most of the mods I've done are wheels, suspension, exhaust and Aero related.

I wouldn't turbo it.. But I have contemplated doing an STI swap in 5-6 years (EJ 207)

Less lag, faster revving, smoother idling, more linear power. I'm running 91+ octane and seeing better mpg then the stock tune on 87.

For sure...Brainstorming,...why wouldn't a CAI give the same response as the stock witht he Hermoltz resonator? Its basically in the same place draxing air from the same place and just as long as the stock 'system? I extended my SRI about six inches, and maybe its just me, but I have about 75% more throttle response than the SRi by itself...hmmm...

I could see the OE settings could be set in a way that the intakes throw it out of balance, only reasonable. I'd say, if you get an Intake, maybe get a couple other performance parts and tune them all together.

First time I have to park my car outside over night in almost a year and this happens.
Dented and paint scraped off to bare metal.

Most likely, but it's nothing compared to what happened to your car. Extremely disappointed right now, I wouldn't be nearly as mad if it wasn't dented too...

Is your wheel scratched too? Looks like you took a right hand turn and scrapped up against something.

Wheel is fine, the damage actually extends farther forward than you can see. There was a pretty large shallow dent on the passenger front door leading into the passenger rear door. But some plunger love got rid of it.

Search Frozen Rotors. Located in Burnsville, MN. They are frozen rotors which extend the life. A LOT of local Subaru guys here use them and love them. Highly recommended from a lot of the people over at www.mnsubaru.com
