V4 sti ej20k engine value? 40k miles
How much do you think a V4 ej20k engine is worth with 40,000 miles on it? Also has a PowerFC..I'm thinking of buying a really cheap swapped car and selling this for a USDM engine so i can pass emissions. Thanks, Andy

I just sold a standard Ej20K with complete harness and factory ECU along with ceramic coated vf29 for $1000. This one had 90k mi on it. I would add maybe $500 for the low mileage and STi status of that engine. The PowerFC if you include it is probably worth another $500-600...
If you do this, I hope you realize you will need to pull the whole wiring harness and either resplice it or pull in a complete Ej205 replacement harness and dash. It's not an "easy" solution to your problem. Unless the car has a pisston of suspension and body parts that you've just got to have, it's likely not worth the trouble... ps. parting out perfectly good swapped cars is bad Suby karma and asking for trouble from teh Dogs... |

that's exactly what I was looking for...thanks. I was just looking for alternate plans so that I don't have to patiently wait for a swapped sedan to come along because its so hard

i've been seeing sti ej20k's going for a lot more than 1000. That seems real cheap to me. I spent close to 3500 for mine with complete harness and about 40k, i know it was a bit steap but this is what i'm usually seeing them go for.

standard 4 or sti
the power fc is worth more than that now that they are discontinued say $7-800 1500 is a fair price with a working harness |

sti...I'm still considering the idea but I'm not sure of the market for a JDM engine cause with stricter rules it seems like only peole with '95 and below cars or people with no emissions would buy this engine. I also have to think of taking the engine out and messing with the wiring, I've never done it but if there's a writeup on it I'd try it
