Default signal question...

on my '00 RS coupe, my right turn signal will sometimes (more often than not) blink faster than usual and make a louder blinking noise than usual. At other times it won't do it at all. The left turn signal never has this problem. Anyone else ever have this issue, and how would I go about fixing?
Thanks,
Josh

The fast turn signal is an early warning that you have a faulty bulb, blown bulb or loose connection on the bulb. Basically, if the system senses that there's no continuity on a bulb it will flash that side faster.

Check the ground on the front bulb/socket. Often gets corroded. Clean it off and use some silicone grease.

I was thinking it might be the blinker fluid:

Being a Massachusetts driver, how exactly did you figure out that the turn signals were broken? Did you lend the car to an out-of-stater?
