Default Advice needed - Getting a Modded STI to pass registration inspection in MD

many years ago, moving back to MD from DC, I was getting a lot of flack from the inspector about minor mods to my car, before making a new purchase of a modded STI, I was curious how difficult it is to pass inspection in MD with a Modded car?
Any advice on an easier pathway?

Depends on the modifications. If you're looking to pass the safety inspection, I am going to attach a link for what they look for. I know that when I bought from out of state, my brakes, suspension, and wheel set up were modified and I caught issues with that. Good thing its a one time inspection. Take it, fail, replace only whats needed. Take it again. Throw mods back on.

It may just depend on who you take it to and how particular they are.

Before I got my last two new but older cars inspected I ask a friend of mine(who private sales a few cars here and there) where to go not to get ripped off and gigged on every minor thing.

The shop he recommended has been great and let a few minor things slide.

I hate to say it, but there are probably still a few out there that will basically sell you a “pass”.
