Only four cars in their class this year and I see the TT has withdrawn from crash damage. The next two SP3T cars are a 1 and 1.5 minutes behind in quali. Hope they get another top 20 finish this year. It's supposed to rain again this year (of course).

A few little gremlins it seems, but so far, so good.

Pesky power steering line began leaking again early on but they had a hard time finding the exact spot of the leak.

Paddle shifter malfunctioned, but was a fairly quick fix which was either a bad air bleed screw or air in the system.

And notified yet again by the officials that the car's sound was above the limit at various spots on the track. They put a new muffler on in about 5 minutes.

Currently about 1 min 20 seconds faster per lap over the VW.

Yeh they are doing well, picked up about 50 positions since the power steering issue earlier, currently 70 overall and first in class. I think they can pick it up into top 30 if everything plays out well.

This is the timing link for anyone interested http://www.24h-rennen.de/en/live-timing-ticker/

Still kicking ass and taking names, 5.5hrs left and it's most likely going to be wet for the finish.

Up to 53rd overall, first in class. They're running 9:10s, a solid 40 seconds per lap faster than the vw in 2nd which I think I just caught in a camera on the ADAC feed being towed off track

Hopefully no full course cautions like that one year.
Too bad for the 912 car getting the penalty. Might still make it up.
Not sure the WRX will get top 30, though. That's 5-6 laps to make up. But 5hrs is a long time in the wet around there.

Pulled off on the grand Prix circuit, back in the pits now, looks like they're fiddling with something under the passenger side of the motor, oil line or something.

Heading back out now, looks like a leak underneath or something, they didn't swap any parts out but they took the ecu out and blew out the connections, as well as some sensor unit, looks like they had an issue with it running?
