Is Haas selling the team?
What happened to that amazing R&D before the 2018 season. What a complete train wreck.
RoGro and Mag can't blame the car solely though, they are subpar drivers at best.

2019 Haas could not get the tires to work.
This year its most likely an engine issue. Ferrari engine is down 50 hp to the Mercedes in 2020 after being up as much as 69 hp in 2019.

Saw this in another fourm:

Mercedes
Renault (-25bhp)
Honda (-30bhp)
Ferrari (-50bhp)

I get that the Ferrari power units aren't the greatest this year, but a DNF race after race by one of the drivers is so frustrating. I can't see any driver getting another year driving for Haas, let alone a seat in F1. Steiner as well.
Its a total crapshoot who drives next year, if there's even a Haas team.

Yes your right. I kind of forgot that the Haas cars do have issues with their brakes.
They just did hire some people to help sort that out.
The Mag seems to be an ok driver but Gro is very reckless. You see again that he almost nailed Latifi after going off track today.
They should of hired the Hulk. Don't know why. Maybe he wanted too much money.
Haas do not want inexperience drivers either.

Vettel calling out the team, saying "You know you guys ****ed up don't you..." But he threw away the race on his own in the first lap! BAd and then more bad. I'd say Vettel is done in F1. Maybe Williams would take him.

Great showing from Hulk! Sucks they pitted him, and put him on the SOFT (?!?).

Good job by Leclerc.

As much as I didn't like Max when he first came on the scene, I'm coming around on him now, and it was good to see him beat both Mercs.

I'm not a Max fan, but I enjoyed his race a lot this round. I guess mostly because it was just nice to see Mercedes struggle a bit. If Max hadn't been there, the Mercs would have just dominated at 9/10th instead of 10/10ths. I'm looking forward to them leaving the sport for another few decades. After they win another constructors' championship, with no Concorde agreement for Ferrari-level cash, what is the point of them continuing?

Speaking of Ferrari... Vettel just, like, washed up, did he? Was Ferrari just never a good fit for him? 'Cause he's driven below expectations since day 1 in red, and has just gotten worse and worse. I feel like even back marker teams aren't going to want his desperation in their camp... not at what he must think he's worth. What happened? Sure the Ferrari cars haven't been great, but Vettel's driving lately is just a laundry list of unforced errors. These days he's more apt to spin by himself in a race than not.

Vettel to RP seems to be the thought right now. Szafnauer hasn't denied it in any interviews so far. But money talks, and I read TelMex is going to put big money up in RP to keep Sergio driving. Curious how switching to Aston Martin will affect R&D now that they can't copy a Mercedes layout

Max is a rebel and I enjoy it, there was no way he was letting Horner ruin this race. Maybe Seb goes back to Red Bull for a farewell tour, especially with the progress of the Honda platform.

And good on Nico for his performance, maybe Renault was the problem? (look at Danny Ric). Where he ends up, who knows. HAAS SPEND THE MONEY!

That was Magnussen. The dirtiest driver on the grid by a long shot.

Yep, all of this. Supposedly, they were worried about Hulk's tires making it to the end so he got dropped down a spot below Stroll. Either way, he did more than what was asked of him on short notice.

Definitely nice to have Max in the mix to pressure Merc so they can't have it all their way every weekend. Still, the sport is beyond stale. It takes extreme weather or tire blowouts to make it interesting.

Well, expectations (read: hopes) were WDC but that's just not going to happen. It's not just a Ferrari problem, as Merc is untouchable. I don't really give a **** after their 2019 cheating was swept under the rug. Either way, his constant mistakes are unforgivable at any team, let alone a supposed front runner like Ferrari. And Charles is making him look pathetic. At this point, he's not worthy of a 2020 seat.

I mean, most of his formative years were spent watching his dad bang fenders after his short F1 stint.

That being said, while I agree he could calm down a bit, I think he has talent. I remember being a bit let down when he lost his McLaren drive. Thought he did well.

It's staggering that Grosjean's still around in 2020. And I'm far from the Grosjean hate-train. I think it's totally overblown and I'm glad he got his head straight after his First Lap Nutcase days. He's outlasted a lot of drivers. But he was clearly the driver that reset their 2019 development and was vocal about them going down the wrong path, so that's valuable to development. Pace is useless without the car underneath you.

Both Haas drivers have their weaknesses. Neither is confirmed for 2021 and it's about time to make a change. They've been rocking the same lineup for years. With 5 races done in 2020, they have a single point and seem closer to Williams than the midfield. Gene has to either bank on the new regulations (which we seem to say every few years) or pull the plug on the sinking ship.

Heard rumblings of Brawn GP wanting to make a return.
Also Toto Wolff is full of himself stating he's not willing to sign the concorde agreement. He thinks they should get "greater recognition" for their success.

Agree. I don't think Grosjean is that bad - he just isn't in a reliable team which exposes him to be a much weaker driver than he is.

Honestly - I have no idea why HAAS is still in F1. They lucked their way into it with the chassis and the Ferrari help. Since then, they've been bumbling idiots.

Brawn GP? Where have you heard this? Ross would need to give up his FIA / F1 position for that to work. He could maybe buy back the Mercedes team?

Urmm - Toto is right. It's absolute ****ing garbage that Ferrari has the pull it does in F1. I've been watching F1 in a dedicated fashion since 99, and on and off since 92 - Other than being "ferrari" I don't think they add much to the sport than any of the other top 3-4 teams that rotate every so often.

Either way F1 is dead - FE is the way forward.

Agreed. Every year or so we're constantly saying "The next regulations will fix things. The next Concorde Agreement will be more fair. The prize money, the heritage/legacy payments, etc. The next, the next, the next..." And yet here we are, with the sport the most out of balance it's ever been. And more out of balance than just about any team sport on the planet, really. It's outrageous that Ferrari gets to start the 100m dash on the 20m line. And the champions get the top pick in the draft. It's the most asinine **** ever.

But if nothing else, at least it's in line with how the economy functions.
