Default 2007 Impreza 2.5i SE . . .

I totally got shafted!
My 06' 2.5i started at $23,850 . . .
The new 07 2.5i SE is only $24,195 !

and the new accessories that come standard with the SE model includes:

AM/FM/6CD/MP3/WMA Premium audio system
Tweeters x 2
Premium upgrade speakers
Climate control: Automatic
Door mirrors: Power adjustable, foldable & heated (body colour)
Exhaust: Single outlet muffler (stainless steel tip)
Fog lights: Projector beam halogen
Grille: Mesh type with chrome trim and Six Star cluster
Moonroof: Glass, power tilting and sliding with sunshade
Wheels: 16" X 6.5" aluminum alloy, 7-spoke design
Head restraints (front): Integrated
Seats (front): Heated with high/low setting
Seats (front): Semi-bucket, rally sport type
Steering wheel: Leather-wrapped

I'm truly truly pissed

Honestly, I don't see anything on that list that really alters the way I feel about my car, or would feel about a 2.5rs. The only things that I might kinda miss are the heated seats. Other then that, it's just glitter, a veneer. You end up upgrading/replacing half that stuff anyways.

Sounds like the sport package they had for the 05 2.5RS but even I didn't get heated mirrors, seats, and foglights (I like the covers on my 05 :P) I wonder if they also made the final gear ratio quicker like they did for 05 sport package RS's.

Though I don't see any mention of map lights, spoiler, side skirts, pedals, gauges, must be something similiar to a sport package for 05.

Though I'm really envious of the automatic climate control for 07 available for 2.5i's!

What's a flexible flywheel? And I am assuming the 224HP rating on the WRX is due to the new horsepower measuring method? The WRX doesn't seen to have increased in price, but it does have the 6CD MP3 player that I would love to have... Will have to keep on reading the specs now then

Just noticed the moonroof is standard on the WRX wagon :O So I guess it is infact 1000 dollars cheaper :O

I think the flexible flywheel simply absorbs some of the bumps and vibrations from the drivetrain but I don't think it's anything new on Imprezas.

Yeah, that's about right.

1. Last year of current model run = lots of accessories (cf. MY01 2.5RS)
2. Canadian dollar appreciation (you guys that were britching about SOC ripping people off, you got what you wanted)

this is a reality in all things
i bet if you were to buy a plasma tv today and then wait one year, for that same price you would get a way better one.

at some point you just need to buy it, and deal with the fact that, although you purchased item X, technology continues on with out you

Exactly, every year it's bound to be better. I still think those who bought a 2005 WRX without knowing that the 06's would get the 2.5L have a lot more to be angrier about.

its all nice and stuff.. but like what Wylde Horses said, you would replace half the stuff anyways... so i would save my couple grand and use it towards something...

the moonroof is all nice and stuff.. but wouldnt it make the car less stable? more weight and problems when it malfunctions?

fog light is nice, but jsut uses more power and headaches... rather use it as an intake port like on SubieDrift.

heated seats and semi-bucket seats would be nice...

so yeah, i like my 2.5i the way it is... thanx

don't worry, I went to Richmond Subaru and talked to the parts salesman and asked them about the 07' Sti limited, and he was like . . . "what's that? "

But nonetheless, he was a nice guy. Great service. They have really improved after the new management kicked in.
