Hey Guys and Gals!
This "chirp" or high pitch squeak seems to be coming from the turbo area and comes on when there is a load on the engine like the a/c and the engine has to increase it rpm from idle. The sound also increase in frequency when I step on the acceleration and disappears when it reaches around 1500 rpm. A cold cold engine doesn't make this sound as RPM is around 1500. There's also no smoke either, I haven't tested power or max boost as I'm afraid it might damage it more and send crap to the engine.
I've recently replaced the timing belt, v belt, stretch fit belt and all the pulleys, auto tensioner, water pump about 5,000 miles ago and on 6/13 pulled the belts and pulleys so see if I had any premature failures and they were all good and smooth, the belts still have all the markings and logo. I've also checked the union bolts on the passenger (right hand) side and there is no filters. Checked the oil and there's no metal shaving on the oil drain plug.
Could my turbo impeller be hitting the housing? So far all the turbo noise problem I've research have been a "whining" noise something that's constant or harsh grinding noise. Mine is more of a cyclic high pitched "chirping" noise, like bearing noise. If its not the turbo what else can it be? I've also put a stethoscope on the turbo house and the frequency seem to match that "chirp"
On the video you can hear the "chirp" and then it quiets down when the a/c is off, but when it kicks on again the rpm goes a hundred RPM or so and you can hear it.
