Default 5-qt Mobil 1 at Wal-Mart

Hey, guys, for the first time in recent memory, my local Wal-Mart (Seekonk, MA) actually has the 5-qt jugs of Mobil 1 in stock! I was so excited that I picked up 2 jugs @ $17.88/ea. All 3 grades available 0W30, 10W30 and 15W50, I believe.

I'd think all the Wal-Marts in the region probably will have some as well.

yeah, that's the normal price too.. My local one in Hudson doesn't really carry the 5-qt ones...but the one in Amherst, NH does.

I used to buy the 5qt. 5w-30 at Amherst, but they only have 10w-30 in stock now. Next time I see 5w-30 there I'm going to buy a few...

I bought a 5 quart bottle of 5w30 at the Walmart in Weymouth last weekend for $17.88, great buy. My only complaint is that the bottle does not have the clear plastic on the side so I can tell when to stop(car only takes 4.5) Not a deal stopper, just have to be carefull. Kinda sucks though. At least we save like $5.

Now if Walmart only carried Purolator! I had to get a Napa Gold which is great but cost $6.77, kinda steep.

Mobil1 has a Synthetic/dino blend, are you sure that's not what you saw? If not where is that store?

It could also be a difference with location. When shopping of Walmart, shop around for some of the items... For example, I saw this cordless phone answering machine at Walmart in Amherst for $140. Walmart in Hudson had it for $120, same phone. They set their prices based on the income of the surrounding area.

Wow, Ken - Wal-Mart's "everyday low prices" are still not low enough for you? Well, I hate WM for the way they treat truckers. F them! We are professional truckers, not lumpers, geez! However, I can't argue with my wallet, so I get in and get out as infrequently as possible.

Hm... Tar-chet, eh? I think they're opening a store, or may have opened a store, in Seekonk, MA. If so, I won't have to go to WM again... Yeah!
