You should always disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before doing any work on your car

** I can not be held responsible in any way if you use the below instructions **
** By reading these instructions, you accept full responsibility for anything that may occur as a result of using these instructions or any side effects thereof **

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remove the under dash below the steering wheel - 3 screws: 1 on the side (where the door closes), 1 on the left front, and 1 on the right front.

Remove the fuse box from it's metal frame - Remove the 1 screw on the top and press in on the metal tabs (one on each side in the middle). Also remove the black relay boxs on the right side by pressing in the tabs.

Splice a 6" piece of wire into the orange wire coming from the back of the fuse box.

Locate the red w/ green stripe wire on the 4th relay down from the top. Cut this wire and tape the end coming from the dash.

Connect (solder, twist together, wire nuts, etc.) the piece of wire spliced to the orange wire with this new end and tape it up.

Test everything before putting it back together.

Uhhhh... yeah... I wouldn't do what he ^^^ posted if someone threatened me. Thats the most vague instructions I've ever heard.

What fog light mod are you talking about, BTW? Fogs with parking lights or fogs with high beams?

actually, the WRX wiring is totally basic compared to our cars(GC8's) , you'd be surprised how much simpler the fog light mod is to do on a GD or GG than it is on a GC.

I still can't turn on my fog's and parking lights at the same time.
It was an absolute nightmare with Morettes on a GC8.

You'll find the new cars wiring quite easy to figure out.

Tell us how it turns out.

Default fogs w/ high or park

I used the same instructions as posted above. Got them from Scoobymods.com.

They worked fine for me. The hardest part I had was pulling the fuse box off the metal posts. I have not had any problems since. Only down side if you can call it that is tha the fogs blink with the alarm now. I don't really care though ...

ya, if the fog button is on in the car, when you arm the alarm, the fogs will blink with the parking lights.

Ok..I am going to try and get this working properly this morning. So I don't just relay the two wires together I have to cut the one and hook it up to the orange wire, if I am reading this right? We'll see if this works and I'll post later! Thanks guys!

If you find the Fat Green Wire its Hot When the Ignition is turned on. I used the Fat Green Wire instead of the Orange. This way you can Drive around with just the Fogs on, or Fogs and Park Lights, or All Three, including the High Beams. I also found that the Green Wire is Easier to get to than the Orange. Hope This helps.

cheezeweezle:

Just splice into the orange wire with a short piece of wire and then cut the red/green one and attach the short piece of wire to the one you cut. The other side just tape up.

Just like it says in the instructions ...

Good Luck.
