Default Kenwood phatnoise media manager -anyone know how to use it?

The program came with my kenwood cd player and I can convert files and put them on memory sticks to play on the cd player, but when I try to remove files to put new ones on, the files I remove don't regain enough memory to install the new ones. For example, I can remove 15 or 20 songs from the stick and still can't add one new song. The last time I tried to add new music (when the memory stick had reached its limit), I had to delete everything and start over. Is that really necessary? Thanks for any help

I've got the manual but can't seem to figure out why it won't completely erase all remnants of the song files. Its like it leaves id info for the voice files. I will keep trying.

When you delete a song or playlist through PMM, you should be prompted with "Confirm Delete?" window. Inside that window should be a checkbox with text stating "Also delete file(s) from hard drive." You need to check that box to delete the files otherwise it only deletes the playlist and/or PMM data associated with the file(s). If you forget, then you will need to access the files through Windows Explorer and erase the files/folders manually.

If I click the delete from hardrive also box, doesn't it remove it from the computer's hard drive as well? That is the only reason I wasn't clicking that. I want to keep the files on the pc, just delete them from the memory stick. I did try just manually inserting the stick without the kenwood program turned on and erase some files with the windows program and it seemed to work. Is that what you are referring to?

Doah! You're right. Damn. Now I have to reload a dozen CDs. I'm too pissed to play around with PMM right now. Post up if you figure out your solution.
