Default Not your typical ride height question

First off, I apologize if this is the wrong part of the forum to post this, noob to the site.

Anyhow, I'm utilizing the front structural clip of a 2007 Impreza to convert my 1964 Ford Fairlane to all wheel drive.

Yes, you read that correctly, no need to adjust your screen. Also yes, I've been told I'm crazy on a regular basis.

Now for the measurements I'm after, yes, I've searched the forums and everything I've come across is wheel center to wheel arch but I don't have the fender to the 07 so that puts me at a disadvantage.

I feel the clip is sitting far higher than stock and with the lack of a drivetrain or anything else sitting in there it'd be no surprise but I'm curious how much.

Here's the measurements I've come up with all from ground:

Top of tie bar/radiator support- 31"
Bottom of sway bar frame mount -14"
Outermost/lower rear control arm mounting point-12.5"
Strut tower vin plate-36.5"

I'd post a picture of the project if I knew how but I'm still a noob here.

Try posting in the Subaru Conversions section.

By the way you're not crazy. I don't have the answers you need, but someone here does I'm sure. See if you can find someone local with an 07 that will let you crawl over and under it to take pictures and measurements.

Use the NASIOC image host... and select the appropriate link to embed the image(s).

Tried to post in the conversion thread but couldn't as I don't have three legitimate posts yet.

Trying this picture thing now, if I did it right the first one should be the Impreza front clip and the Fairlane. Second one should be of the half shaft and control arm. The fact they're touching is one thing that leads me to believe the Impreza clip is sitting far too high.

Also, any 02-07 owners local to the Elizabethtown, PA area that I could take a few measurements off of? I'll buy you beer if you're 21 or over or chocolate milk if you're under 21

You need to be selecting the Embed Code with a JPG extension on the end.

Like so...

Jeez Loueez!

I do admire your effort to not just settle on mustang II
Front end!!!!!

This is what im thinking
Leafs in rear(assuming)
This Subaru clip in front
Your best bet is to use adjustable coil overs in front for correct front ride height

One thing for sure
You are a fabricating Bad Ass!!!!!!

Vancouver98STi hey that looks familiar haha. Guess I need to go back over how to post pictures because I still can't get that to work. Thank you though.

AliBenn, correct on the front end although for the rear end I'm actually ditching the 8" solid leaf sprung drum brake rear for a 99-04 Cobra IRS.

The goal is for it to handle on par with a modern car in all types of weather yet look no different than a stock 64 Fairlane.

Copy the embed code, select the picture icon here on nosioc, delete the http that is preset, then copy + paste the embed code, I had a ton of issues and takes time getting used to.

"delete the http"?? I'm sorry, but that makes no sense.

If you wish to use the "picture icon" to post an image, then select Image URL from Direct links under Embed codes, and copy and paste the URL.

It's actually simpler to not use the "picture icon". Instead, select BBCode from Full image under Embed codes, then copy and paste that URL directly into the post.

I have to admit that I feel there are far too many choices, which only complicates the procedure for anyone new to using the NASIOC image host. IMO, it would be far better to have the image host supply just one URL, that when used, would simply embed the chosen image into whatever post is being written.
