Default The Official “Thanks for Helping with the LGT/STi Switcharoo” Thread

I would like to give out a huge thanks for all those that helped us in the process of selling back the Legacy and purchasing the STi!

Geoff – thanks to your knowledge from past incidents w/ Subaru you were able to help us with advice and contacts we would have never been able to get.

Bill and all the other folks at SoA – you guys really helped push Subaru into doing the right thing and buying the car back. Extra special thanks to Bill for driving the Legacy for the next few months to help figure out what is wrong with it. Hope you find a solution that will help all the other LGT folks!

Theresa at WHS and Mike at McRee – you guys helped so much by contacting SoA to relay experiences and complaints.

Kevin Heist – He helped with info about the buyback and helped assist in me looking for the new STi. I may not have bought the STi from him, but it’s a car he originally sold at SoD…

Barry Waxman – was constantly helping with both sides. He sent emails to various people to let them know how we felt about the Subaru brand and how many cars we’ve bought in the past 5 years… He also helped with the scouting of STis and helped me find the right car.

Kevin, Geoff, and Barry were always there to answer any questions I have and I appreciate that!

And the biggest thanks go out to MissDanz. She did all the legwork to make sure Subaru bought the car back. She spent countless hours on the phone and put up with runarounds and other issues. Plus she let me get another STi. She did get a pretty cool XT to tool around in too…

Again, thanks go out to all that helped. I’m sorry if I missed anybody…

There were definitely a LOT of people that helped out with this ordeal! Randy Rinehart(sp?) aka RRSER, Jack Kisner, Karen Quinn, Bill Davis, and of course all of the locals Rob already mentioned.

But I have to say that I am definitely the biggest hero here since I bit the bullet, and against my better judgement went ahead and LET Rob get another STi. I do have to say, I am enjoying the Forester a lot. I know it can withstand the 10-15 mph rear-end crash pretty well from first hand experience this morning.

Hope someone at SOA actually sees this and realizes how much we all appreciate their help! Especially Casey who has found new meaning in the word "wheeeeeeeeee"!

Just curious, what was the issue on the car? Or maybe a link to the thread describing it.
