I isn't a diamond ring, but I did just buy a new engine.....

I got this:

and it is going into this:

(ignore the chains)

The original engine died last week, so I had to make a choice; spend a lot of money to fix a crap engine with no power, or bite the bullet and double the power and get a 23 year newer engine. Just started for the first time today, it got a 2.5 liter engine from some Australian car company called Subaroo or something. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it is badass for camping during weekends on the side of the river for kayaking and stuff.

Soon to come: big brakes off of an Audi...

Im going to pressure wash, dry and then solvent clean the floor before it goes down.

Doug, if I ever make it to NJMP, you'll have to come check it out. Beats the heck out of tent camping at the track.

I was wondering what the hell happened to the pictures of pretty things! Get em!

You have to scour and clean the crap out of the floor. Pain in the ass. It comes with a self-etcher, but it still takes a ton of prep work.

I rented the shotblaster for the floor.

degreased -> pressure wash -> shotblast -> pressure wash again -> etch -> apply.

it took a week to do it all the way, but it is still on there and looks good.

This thread should become "CarbonXe's rapid descent into hockey addiction Hell."

God, I miss playing hockey.
