Default 99 Nico

Meanings of Impreza (Female)- Derived from the Italian word 'Impresa' meaning badge or motto; Celebrate, party. Also a model of a Subaru motor vehicle.

Celebrate & Party we shall !!!

99 Subaru Impresa STi EG33.RS ? EZ30R.RS ? EZ36R.RS? one of these H6 will be put in my daily driver !

my impreza has been sitting for some time now and it was time to build my self something simple for a daily driver that can drive with out a problem !

with the help of my friend Nam @ NVauto we will build something simple and fun to drive that is smooth pulling Hwy cruiser for long distance trips.

we start with this simple bone stock Un-molested 1999 subaru impreza 2.5rs auto.

first thing on order ! pass the emission testing to get the car on the road. with the guidance help from Nam we found a 5mt 99 for its wiring harness to get the car running like it came out the show room floor !..

It wasn't looking to good but Nam noticed that my car was having a misfire issue ! so he got in there and found that the timing belt jumped 2 teeth !!.... after all most scrapping the project he aligned the motor back to stock and I was back on the road ready for daily action !...

after all that hard work the emission was passed to perfection like a normal stock car from 1999 !!

it was time to start pulling things i got laying around at my shop, once I start digging around at home, I found my JDM 5x100 STi suspension. the top hats are STi Group N F&R, the springs I had purchased these about 2 year's ago new, which are JDM STi GC8 GYMKHANA springs.. k5.1 F k4.9 R.

some more parts, main part is the new style rear subframe which has solid bushings from the factory

also the new style aluminium arms, front and rear. these in a old style subaru make it longer wider track light weight and lots of camber

and whiteline everything motorsports set up, lots of grease and pressing in bushings front to back and caster top mounts for the STi struts.

also got 2006 backing plates for my subaru 4pot 2pot which are getting powder coated, and full rebuild kit

after digging around the house it was time to start the madness at NVauto ! we gutted the under side for all the new exciting toys will should make my car turn laps faster then a Mighty Mouse Miata !!

white line everything work in progress

put my 22B STi hubs to good use

LoLz thats a good use of the word haha..

some things are better new lol

I love when things fall in place so well ! JDM light weight front and rear bars for a GC8 happened to end up in my hands at the same time i was doing this build so weird !

my subaru 4 pot and Gramlights with snow tires ready for winter action.

my GD arms on the stock subframe NA version so the H6 sits nice. Whiteline motor sports bushings everywhere, and Dov standing in the empty spot where my DCCD Spec-C Ra STi 6MT will go.

i add cusco motor and 6mt mounts to stiff it even more up ! just in case my 2.5rs motor builds up to much torque lol

so i add a S204 STi 6mt 3.545 for the longer gearing, might swap in my 86 Leone maybe.

Dov @ Nvauto had a complete S204 jdm swap and the guy didnt want the diff so for sure ill take that 3.545 diff !

and the 3 must fluid's for a STi....(also in the 86 Leone)...... STi extra S, subaru LSD hypoid for diff, PS-Fluid !

lol

so while I had to wait for parts I did a little gravel rocker guard, lets hope I wont see this section of the car for at leas another half a million kms again !

here she is brand spanking new from the dealer ship ! oem tank for soon to be a fantastic daily driver machine.

also since your under there your best bet is to buy it all new since its a pain in the butt to get to, so all new gaskets and nuts claps where ordered. all hoses looked in very good shape so I didn't bother replacing that stuff. maybe after 1 Million kms hose should be changed, the clamps had completely rusted off.

this valve got back ordered so I just managed to take it off the old tank to be used again, I just hope it last a log time down the road.

you can see a rotten clamp from the great salt belt east has done to my Subaru !

while I was under there I decide to fix my leaky S204 diff with a new gasket, sealed it up using a skim shave of fuji bond and torqued the bolts all is well no more leaks.

the markings 39:11 = 3.54545454545454545

all back together ready for the winter again, now I hope I make it through with out any more problems ! I need to collect the parts for one of the swaps ill be doing.

well i found this cluster it has DCCD and drops right in, i guess its a special RA STi one do to the blue bezel none the less i wanted it for the dccd function for my STi 6mt.

night mode even matched all the factory green

DCCD switchs came in, no once i get back from my road trip to sema show in las vegas ill get the dccd pro unit to control all this stuff.

also had these seats laying around so might as well put them in the car, more for support then matching lol.

i guess this seat can match the bezel lol

and this one can match the factory black grey theme lol
