Sorry if this is not allowed
I just picked mine up on Saturday. Sticker $43,367. I paid $42,167 with delivery. So $41,282 for just the car. This was for a factory order so they gave less of a discount but was by the far the deal around when I went looking at about 5 dealerships in my area. Everyone else wanted MSRP for factory orders. Also, at the time of ordering, otherdealerships were only giving $500 off instock 2018

Do any of you know where to source 2019 STI axle backs? I've been looking but have had no luck. I'm about 3 hours away from nameless and have contemplated donating my car for the greater cause.

Cool - hopefully this time it works out for you!

That stock boot is nasty and I knew it had to go ASAP. Of course my OCD required replacing the shifter boot, and the leather trim on the side of the shifter console and also the gauge cluster trim to match... It looks great now though and really pulls the interior up in my opinion.

Ughhhhhh this is exactly why I'm trying to make a big deal out of it. Also hoping they don't drill extra holes in the front bumper, but I'm more annoyed with the "dealer-installed" swirl marks and scratches.

The dealer i bought from must do an excellent detailing job because none of their cars have swirl marks. I checked out a bunch of black cars and they looked flawless.

Should be the same exhaust as 15-18, no?

Nameless confirmed for me that the 19's are the same.

EDIT: That's just for catbacks. The 2019's ARE different for axle backs. Hanger location, pipe routing & sizing is same, but the flange where the mufflers bolt to the Y pipe are wider now.

So let me get this right, axle back is the same? So if i wanted to get the STi performance exhaust it would fit? I was told by SOA its different axle back hence the exhaust no longer being offered.

No you're correct - I missed that he was asking for axle back only. Basically any full catback should fit, it's the flanges on the Y pipe/mufflers that's different. I.e. a 2015-18 axle back won't fit the 2019 Y pipe.

This makes we wonder why not offer the STI performance exhaust on the 2019? I understand the 2019 is more free flowing so then what was the purpose of the "performance" exhaust? Was it purely marketing? I honestly would have paid for it on the grounds of the quality. It looks and fits better than the stock one. I won't be modding the car for a few years so i wanted a better stock exhaust option.

Actually, that was one of the questions the tech asked me. Was your phone on the seat? The new sensors are magnetic, and very sensitive, and the phones will sometimes indicate there is weight on the seat because of the magnetic field. It is annoying, although I have been able to place small weights on the seat, a sheaf of papers, sunglasses and so forth without warnings.

Yup, i always place my phone on the seat with the usb cabled connected. I will also place my bag on the seat which has a laptop and ipad. The bag wont weight more than 10 pounds so i was always wondering what was causing this. Now i know.

Picked up my new black STI limited (w/ wing delete) on Sunday and have enjoyed driving it around, even while being pretty faithful to the 1000 mile/4000 RPM break-in procedure. I can't wait to uncork it!

Paid $40,650 (before taxes etc) for it, Seattle area. Negotiated price by standard technique of shopping around. Ordered July 11th, with an ETA of end of Sept. Actual arrival date was Sept 12!

I'm not sure but I think the amenities in my MT6 2018 Crosstrek limited are better?? However I could care less! The STI head unit is much more responsive though.

After exclusively driving the STI for a few days, I took the Crosstrek out today, to run some errands, and when I first took a right turn out of my culdesac, I laughed at loud at how slowly it built power/RPMs. However it is still a fun car to drive, just have to flog it most of the time to keep it from rolling backwards

Glad to be back in a WRX! (long ago was a happy owner of a bugeye wrx)

I messaged Nameless a month or so ago and they said they have a muffler delete in the works for the 19. Then I see on a different social media they have no plans on working on an RA. Which is the same as the 19 exhaust I think? So please drive up there so we can get the ball rolling. I'd volunteer but I'm a 2 days drive away. If you are right there go for it. They respond quick on Facebook!

I was able to get a hold of Remark located in Irvine, California and luckily they had one last 15-18WRX/STI axleback in stock, but had to modify it to fit on my 2019 STI. Which happened about three weeks ago. They were able to get measurements and will be rolling out the 2019 STi axlebacks soon! I can vouche for the quality and is the same level if not even better than nameless.

Two different cars imo. While color matters to an extent, the parts in the car are what sets them apart. The way the car handles, feels, and doesn't go flat in the top the STi was the clear winner for me.

Agree with heatwave ^ the STI is just such a better car in so many ways.

But the limited edition models are really, really cool. I think even more so if you keep all of the "custom" details stock (the wheels, black trim, interior etc).

What's the price they're quoting for the Series gray? I heard some dealers have a big markup.

It's quoted at $34,204.

I agree with Heatwave also. I just want to see other members opinions because I am stuck between the two..

Hmmm... I think I'd actually prefer the seriesgray WRX then, IF you plan to keep it mostly stock cosmetically. Having a 1/750 limited edition car is pretty dang cool. And you're getting the seats and headlights from the STI too, not to mention better gas mileage.

If you like the gray and don't need the STI wing and/or Brembos, I'd say go with the WRX.

This is completely true. Just got my STi last weekend after having a 2015 WRX for a year and 3 months. Before that I had a 2005 STi for 2 years

That was one the biggest gripes I had with the WRX is that it pulls hard in the low rpms, but putters out at the top end. Also the handling is completely different. With the STi having hydraulic steering, I gives the car a lot heavier steering wheel but gives you so much more feel of the road. The WRX streeting is not bad by any means, the STi is just better, in my opinion. Also the rack is a bit quicker then on the WRX. The first couple of days making turns that I do every day, like coming out of my neighborhood, the car would be pointed towards the curb based on muscle memory.

Also I can't remember if the series gray has the STi short throw shifter in it or not. But the shifter feel in the WRX and the STi are nothing a like. I had a shift stop and brass bushing thrown in a week after buying the car and took them out a couple days before I picked up the new car. I forgot how bad it was. Just something to think about because you'll be shifting all the time when your driving the car.

After pulling off the lot, I knew I made the right choice. But that just my 2 cents. And remember, at the end of the day it's YOUR car.
