Looking for M2 Performance exhaust? Read this first!
Warning: Story from a very dissatisfied M2 Performance ex-customer.
I was ready to get a full turbo-back exhaust to my WRX. I wanted to keep stock looks so dual tip muffler was a must. Also didn't like a very loud exhaust and wanted to keep one cat after turbo, so M2 Performance 3" Dual Tip Stainless Steel Turbo Back Exhaust System seemed like a good choice ($1195 + S&H). At the end of June I made an order, because M2 said they just needed to pick up a new shipment from customs (parts come from Australia). They charged a full payment at the time of order. By mid July I hadn't heard anything from them. At that point the story had changed that exhaust will be shipped directly from the factory. Shipping date was supposed to be confirmed during the same day. Didn't hear anything back. It's August! Only answer is that M2 has not been able to contact the manufacturer to confirm the order status?!? I was not in a hurry so I was still willing to wait... On side note, M2 never replied to a friend's e-mail inquiry about the availability of the same exhaust system. It's already September!! M2 claims they thought exhaust had been shipped directly from factory. They will check what is going on here. No reply. Another new explanation is that they did receive a new shipment but all dual-tip mufflers had measurement error in flange and could not be fitted properly. I can't verify if this is true or not, but the bottom line is I still don't have the exhaust I wanted. Single tip mufflers would be available, but dual tip was the reason I chose M2 in the first place. Mid October... I cancel the order. Waiting for a refund to my credit card. After almost two weeks I finally get the refund. And I still have a stock exhaust in my WRX.
