thanks for the pic, glad i have another option. with the EBCS mounted where GS suggests, the turbo side hose sits right over the alternator which gets pretty hot.

I'm glad I don't have that bracket. It would not fit at all with the inlet I have.

I'm not really sure how I got this bracket either, I'm guessing when you order a EBCS for a 2011+ WRX you're getting the LGT bracket now... I never noticed it was wrong until I took another look at yours. I think I noticed you took off you Hybrid too, what was your reason? Mine was just tuner related, EFI didn't know what the hell to do with it so I now have a brand new MBC paper weight, lol |

So how are you liking your setup? Since I'm not too worried about corner handling as much as basic ride quality at the moment I'd be interested in knowing more about the simple spring/shock setup you have. I would think it's a better ride then on coilovers as I can't see a stiff bumpy ride with a little one in the back seat. I know in handling terms I'm doing it backwards but in all honestly I haven't had the reason to drive hard enough to worry about handling and body roll yet so my immediate goal would be to get to and from work without my fillings falling out or kidneys bruised, lol |

The tear down and rebuild begins...
I have two weeks before the front rotors show up so I have plenty of time to do a super clean rebuild and re-paint. Besides the calipers I bought everything new for the conversion: DBA 4000 T-Slot front rotors OEM Seal kit OEM Sliders, Pin clips, Springs OEM Bleeders OEM Caliper Bolts Stainless Steel Brake Lines Pads - TBD (something for street only + very quiet) Thinking StopTech Street Performance or Hawk HPS Oh, yeah BTW these calipers are HUGE!!! A lot bigger than expected. |

Dang man, you are doing the SAME EXACT mods I am planning on doing. Been trying to track down a set of used brembo's for a while now. Had a good lead a few weeks ago but another guy got there right before me.

Haha, sure it wasn't me? I got them on here for $490 + paypal. They are bare, but that's just how I wanted them since I planned on buying everything new anyway. I can't wait to strip them down tomorrow! |

These were local to me in the MAIC section. 350 for front bremboes, brackets, bolts, rotors and lines. I am so pissed I didn't get them, was a spectacular deal.

You sir, have re-inspired my goals for this car. Well played, love your car and the fact that you put so much of your time into learning and doing everything yourself.

Whoa, really?!? Damn someone got an awesome deal! I've had feelers out for almost 3 months and couldn't get my hands on anything. Now the challenge of finding the 2008+ rears is next!

I've got the Bilstein combo on my car, and while it handles extremely well the wheel gap is ridiculous in person. The car actually looks silly with aftermarket wheels (even my gf who knows nothing about cars noticed), to the point where I only run them a few months in the winter. If I had to do it over I'd go for the RCE Tarmac 1 or 2 coilovers instead.

One thing I don't like about the RCE/KW/etc coilovers is that you lose travel if you lower the car. This doesn't seem ideal. I guess it depends on how much travel you start with though. Maybe it still ends up being more travel than BC/ISC/Fortune/etc. |

Once I got protuned the other day, I noticed that there's a flutter coming from the turbo now, and the only thing that changed before it got protuned was that they put in the GS EBCS right before. I've done some research and this is apparently normal, is that correct? Overland, awesome vid... what numbers did you get after the stage 3 protune? I think our cars are very similar besides the injectors/pump. Here's mine |

Jason, sick video, love the cam under the car as you roll over. I know you were a bit disappointed with the numbers last time, how did you make out this time? |

Since I still have a lot of possible suspension travel with our coilover design, I've inquired to Swift Spring because they make softer springs specifically for Stance/BC setups. For a couple hundred dollars I'm probably going to try that before swapping out for anything else. Have you looked into that already? |

Hey Guys,
Yesterdays dyno went great!! I just did the 93 tune since it was what I really needed this summer traveling back and fourth from Maine to NY. Only Maine had 91 but everywhere else I went had 93 so I wasn't on the best map 80% of my trips. I pulled 294/330 on their Mustang and was extremely happy with results. I'm still not using enough fuel to even max out my stock pump and injectors so the fact that I changed to 750's and the 65c pump were just a safety buffer but not needed for the stock VF52. It doesn't hurt to have them in but I found that I'm technically still just a Stage 2 so I'm really happy with the results. The EBCS is working but creating tons of flutter at almost 22lbs of boost. Now that the tune is done I'm definitely thinking of pulling the EBCS and going manual set to 21 or 22 lbs. Since I have it already I'll just swap and see if it stops. If it does, I'll just have to lower it to 20 when I'm on 91 octane. EFI likes the MBC but doesn't trust a lot of their customers in having any control of their own boost. Lol In order to swap over, its just easier to do it after the tune so I don't have to try to convince them that I won't be turning it up as high as it can go once I leave |

Hopefully all goes well tuesday as im just getting over the flu and so are the kids. if they get called out of daycare my install day is over so im crossing my fingers. |
