That is the absolute opposite of smooth.. Did the tuner note a problem with the car? Or did he/she/it just think that was ok?

So the tuner called me and said he wants it back to tweak it more because he's never done 02s only 05 up with 32bit ecu.so the 16bits have 4 maps instead of 2 so those need to be tweaked. Does that sound right?

Oh boy..

05 WRX 16bit
04 STI 32bit

Sounds like you should find a new tuner.

Visconti @ Theshop CT is close by in Norwalk CT. If you wanna drive to NY, I can do it at TachMotorWorks another vendor on here

i hope it gets worked out and your happy. I think the car could probably pull better up top though then it does but i havent ridden in it obviously! Just seems like it falls off super hard which is kinda understandable but the graph doesnt look typical of your setup. Right around the 5k mark seems like that could be smoother....maybe the timing there makes a drastic change or fueling richens up fast. idk

If you don't know don't assume. There is knock and/or the AFR is off. Get the car to another tuner ASAP and don't beat on the car til you do

^^^^^^Throw it away......quickly before you catch something. This thing makes good horsepower for like 5rpms or so. Must feel like hitting a wall there at the end huh?

That's my fault man. I pulled up the wrong dyno run. That one the IAM didn't adjust back up to 16 from 8 after the ECU reset while monitoring knock in Learning View. Now I feel like an idiot. When I go to get the Tactrix cable I'll take a picture of the final dyno run and then we'll see how well the Dyno tool in the tuning software works. If it doesn't work too well I'll just pay for some dyno pulls and we'll get a new picture for the forums.

so this is the problem he is a great tuner and is a honest dude ill post real dyno results friday
..

If you have a tactrix cable do a log.....even if that wasnt a finished dyno run it still looks very odd. Ive never had a graph look like that when I was getting tuned.....Not tring to be a dick but the tuner isnt as "great" as you may think
