Default Needed two new tires, so obviously had to buy new wheels too.

Okay, I know it's not my STi, but I don't participate in any Miata forums anymore, so deal with it.

I haven't touched my latest Miata project in four years, and I thought she could use a little attention. I needed new rear tires, so it seemed like a good time to get her new wheels too. I sold my SSR Comps awhile back, and I wanted light wheels again. I also wanted to cut the overall height a bit to help with some rubbing issues, so I went with 15 inchers vs the old 16s.The new ones weigh in at ~10.5 pounds. I've cut 11 pounds per corner! Maybe it's finally time to get that twin-screw supercharger that's be sitting in the garage for a few years installed.

Two stems to remove air and add nitrogen at the same time.

You should have gone with some Panasports. Look really similar to your old wheels and are strong as heck. I ran them on my 79 RX-7

Thanks, that's what I figured the dual stems were for.

For the Panasports, do you mean their C5CR? Too square, I think. I wasn't able to find weights for all of their wheels but from what I was able to find I noticed a heavier trend than what I ended up with. For instance their ULW 15x7 are 16lbs, FS 15x6 are 15lbs, and even their FS Lite 13x7 is 10lbs. I know their UltraLights meant for Spec Miata's have to be at least 13.2 pounds, per SCCA rules for Spec Miatas. The Kosei's I ended up with are 15x7 and ~10.5lbs -- very, very close to my old SSR Comps. I've seen this particular Kosei's used on street and tracked 250+ RWHP Miata's, so I'm willing to bet they are plenty strong. But I do appreciate the Panasport suggestion.

Ah, those old things. The look-a-likes would be the FS's or the UltraLights (which aren't recomended for street use). Cool, yes, but heavier.

^^^ The springs resettled so I changed the pics.

Homiusang (and VSB XT), thanks. I had a 94R too. That one became a 280 rwhp Flyin Miata turbo machine. Had a 97 with a Toda Racing, high-compression stroker kit; no forced induction. Also had a 93 with a supercharged Ford 302; absolutely frightening to drive.

WgnWheel, yes, I most likely will want to sell it. When the Mazdaspeed3 is finally for sale, then I'll decide if I want to continue the miata or start new on the speed3. But don't tell Brady it's mine - he wanted to buy it last year.
