BAD knock and IAM drop for seemingly no reason (with logs)
Was out logging some pulls and just as I was about to pull into my driveway I looked over and saw my IAM was 10 and min was 8. It seems like it happened for absolutely no reason, as I logged basically the same conditions a couple minutes before (WOT 5th gear starting at 2k RPM) and nothing showed up.
No Knock: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing Knock: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing I searched for a little bit but couldn't find much other than the usual try some octane booster, check for vacuum leaks, check your '84 dodge coronet's distributor cap, etc. The car is mechanically sound, 04 WRX with 136k, up to date on service, running great. Catless UP+DP, Silicone Turbo inlet+IC hoses, Walbro 255, 8mm Phenolic Spacers, tuned to 16PSI, grounding mod couple extra turns on the WG arm and 5, maybe 6 stickers. Before these pulls I filled up from the busiest gas station in town (Mobil), had Shell in there before, always use 93. On Thursday, basically the same thing happened. Reflashed before leaving, IAM up to 16 then down to 15 after a spirited merge, so I stopped and changed timing a bit, go going again and this time it went down to 10 I believe during a 5th gear pull but I'm not too sure. That time I figured it was either bad gas or spark plugs, so I changed the spark plugs(OE) and put in octane booster and it seemed to be fixed. Chances I got bad gas 2x in a row? Thanks for the read and any input is helpful, have a good one!
