redid the lamin-x on my headlights today. old stuff had about 100k on them, the lights underneath still look flawless as expected. new stuff installed and good for another 100k. looking forward to better light when driving in the dark

would last even longer but my car isn't garaged

I was really surprised at how strong these ones were compared to the stock ones. I had a rattle on my hatch latch going over bumps because the stock lifters were shot. Getting these also fixed that rattle.

All in all i was happy with them, I had a little issue with the ones I got with them lining up, but I think it was user error. I'd recommend them as a brand overall, much better than stock
thanks for the info. is this one model compatible with both sides (left and right)? this guys seems about the same price as the Subaru ones, but i also see Monroe and other typical brands more in the $25 range... now i'm debating about what to do

Thatís a protectant film I take it? I had an old bmw with some thick plastic pieces over the headlights, they started peeling off so I removed them and the 20 year old headlights looked brand new underneath.

Iíll have to try some, my lights are fd bad since my car was from Florida and itís pretty apparent it was left outside, hazy as crap on the top of the lights but the rears are immaculate, I should probably get new headlight housings.

Yes, protective film. I swear by it after trying it years ago. Its on all my vehicles currently, but my impreza while not the longest has been outside the most. Our odyssey has over 150k on the film and it still looks fantastic, but it is garaged and has projectors so i think not subject to same heat.

50.00 usually when you can get it on sale and it is well worth it. New OEM housings cost me 600 4yrs ago after i hit a pheasant. But same story there, pulled the film off the undamaged light and it was flawless

Surely you could open it up and give it a good cleaning?

Did it a couple times when projector retrofitting.

Itís UV damage on the outside of the housing, I could sand them down and spray them but they work fine enough and I donít drive at night much anymore.

I donít care about the car enough to do that right now not enough free time for me.

Guess I could have Googled what the "haze" is exactly. Not something that can simply be cleaned it seems.

Sorry for not getting back to you - I got sick of hitting my head too. The ones I got from them open up the hatch fast - and with force. Hope they work out well for you!

1. old vinyl (headlight armor brand) pulled partially back to show the plastic is still perfect, 100k or so on these lights
2. new Lamin-x brand vinyl. my lights are very bright again at night. it is amazing how just that little haze and pitting on the old really degraded my light output
