Just out of curiousity, dont you need a front plate in NY?

I am just wondering why you wouldnt want to the dealer to install plate holes... (this is definitely a stupid question but, hey, I never said I was smart!)

I don't want plate holes because I'm going to run the front plate relocation and a front plate delete that uses jdm holes.

Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

I have been debating what to ask my dealer once the car comes in. Its a MA dealer but I live in NJ so I will need holes drilled.

No plans for relocation but that JDM plate delete looks so nice!!!

It seems like its a programming glitch for these units.

Boom. My Salesman just called and said my WRX came in last night! That'd make it exactly 12 weeks. It's cold and snowing like crazy here in Colorado and my Salesman is off tomorrow so I'll be picking it up on Thursday afternoon. No biggie, just excited I'll get it in a day and a half!!

been browsing this forum since 2006 but finally decided to purchase one.

just wanted to get your opinion.

2013 WRX limited w/ navi + popluar package #1

PP#1 = floor mats, homelink, wheel locks, short shifter, etc etc.

i got quoted 31990 OTD.

at first i thought this was a good price but a lot of dealers say they cannot go any lower than that. the 2nd lowest i was quoted was 32500 OTD.

should i ask the dealer to shave off $40? or make it an even 31500?

what do you think? any strategies you guys wanna fill me in on?

i can go either way, finance or pay in full.

i am from california
i didnt ask for the MSRP price because i dont see the reason for it. dealers will charge me sales tax dependent on wherever i live.

i live in orange county CA so sales tax is 8%.

i decided on the factory navi because of the warranty and it just looks more simple and holds the vehicles value better compared to installing an aftermarket unit.

it is for peace of mind and level of comfort.

i do not plan on modifying this car as i have in the past... getting to old and... "aint nobody got time for that" jk

I have been pressuring dealers to sell their cars at invoice... however i noticed each dealer has been quoting me a different invoice price range of 29500-29800 (limited w/ navi)

You are spending near $30k, tell him to get his ass into work and give you your car...jk

Congrats! Hopefully I get mine by the 12th week. That would put me halfway there.

12 weeks would be great compared to some of the lead times I have been hearing. Although it seems like the cars with the longer times seem to be Sti's and cars with NAV. (Or both). Which if that is actually try is good news for me. Congrats to everyone who is getting their cars.

One week down, many more to go

Thank God I have school to keep me preoccupied. Once I'm on summer break starting May 25th I'm going to lose my mind.

Haha actually I paid invoice + a couple of options. I'm fine with getting it Thursday, tomorrow is supposed to still be cold and doesn't look like today's snow is gonna melt until Thursday.

TruCar will give you the best pricing info for your area. Santa Monica Subaru gave me dealer invoice on my factory order- 2013 WRX limited 5-door w/ options( and accessories at invoice no install charge). Do your research...

You'd spend $33 k on a used sports car that's been in an accident?

I'd hate to be the guy who wrecked an STi bad enough within the first 600 miles that it wound up with a salvage title on Ebay.

Don't even know if I would have the courage to put it on eBay for fear of all the ridicule.
