Default Proper Cams for EJ25 swap into 05 WRX

I'm getting ready to buy camshafts for the built 2.5 I'm putting in my Saabaru (identical to 05 WRX). I'm not running AVCS, and I've read that the AVCS cams have the incorrect centerline for the non-AVCS timing setup. Is this something that can be remedied with adjustable cam gears and blocking off the oil ports? Or is that a copout, and I should just buy cams made for an EJ205 and use the cam gears that came off my EJ205? Thanks for any input. Also, I'm assuming I still need the feed lines to the AVCS ports in the heads to maintain oil flow to those cam journals, even if I'm running non AVCS cams, correct?

correct

yes, well kinda , but with some sneaky surprises so why?

now you're talking , you can use your 205 cams as well , even just the intakes , use cam seals for whatever cams you use

Thanks for any input. Also, I'm assuming I still need the feed lines to the AVCS ports in the heads to maintain oil flow to those cam journals, even if I'm running non AVCS cams, correct?

correct and depending on the heads you are using you may need to get a bracket to hold the cam trigger behind the left intake gear
