just wanted to comment on my experience:
I am not technically a customer of Clark's, having never purchased anything from him.
I sent him an email just before the holiday weekend,
asking if he could help me out by modifying an OTS Cobb Stage 2 map to shut off the TGV codes.

he responded during the holiday weekend and asked for some important info that I had left out of my original mail.

yesterday we exchanged emails again, and I sent him the base map I have been running last night.
in about an hour, he sent me the map w/ the TGV deletes!

I will definitely be looking into getting an email tune from him once I get laptop for logging.

Just wanted to add I'm a recent customer of Clark's.

I just wanted to get my 05 STi running safely with the mods it had and haven't been focused on just power numbers.

Clark has been VERY diligent with me. His response to my emails and giving me the time I need to log has been awesome. I'm on my 3rd map revision and he has been super about making sure everything is looking good and helping me work through my subie being difficult.

+ super huge points

I contacted clark around a month ago just asking a few questions about his tuning and what was all going to be needed, I had a response in a couple hours. He answered all my questions, I will be going with him once I get all my parts.

I would definitely recommend purchasing a map from Clark Turner. I had nothing good experiences with him and my car runs better than it ever has (even better than when it was dyno tuned by a different tuner!). He responded to emails in a reasonable amount of time and always showed concern about how my car was running. He isn't just a tuner who sends you a tune and says good luck. He's there all the way through it!

Thanks Clark!

Default Worth the money if there is no dyno close by.

Just finished with Clark on a tune for my 2007 Stage II wrx with a smile on my face.

Overall experience: 9/10
Quality of tune: 10/10
Professionalism: 9/10
Response time: 8/10
Troubleshooting: 9/10

Decided to go to him since my car felt sluggish when I installed my injen cold air intake.

I followed the "how to log" instructions from his website and decided to send him the logs to see if he could find anything wrong before paying him.

I receive an email the next day saying that "the logs look lean." and that he would tune my car once he received the payment.

After paying, he then gave me new map to use. I would again log some more data following the instructions on his website.

This process occured 5 times until he felt that the logs looked right.
After each I felt and improvement in how my car responded to my throttle.

I wasn't expecting much at first from an online tune but after my exprience, I would go back to Clark if I decide to go any further on my mods.

I had purchased an update on the 07 wrx stg 2 map with the cam profile and throttle response. All I'm going to say is that you'll never want to go back to OTS map again. I'm getting quick boost and also quick responses from my throttle. The first map I had ordered from Clark was awesome but after the update it is insane. Whoever said that Clark never response to his/her email is crazy because He responds back within one hour after I email him; not to say it was late at night around 10 pm and he email back at 11pm. He processed my order in one hour after the payment was sent to him. A+++ for the service.

Well just received my final revision (for now at least ) for my tune from clark. mods first...

04 WRX
Fp Green
DW 750cc injectors
Ebay Huge TMIC
Turboxs catless TBE
perrin up pipe
GM BCS
Walbro Pump
cobb short ram intake

I highly recommend him if u are not near any tuners. actually his tune feels better than the "protune" i got from a shop the closed by me. Since i have a pretty "advanced" setup it took about 5 days of emailing logs and maps back and forth. i would say the excitement of waiting for that new map was the hardest part! you just gotta be patient. i will definitely use him in the future as i continue to "tweak" my setup.

A++++

I did not pay clark for anything, just emailed him questions about wiring an avcs, and he had very quick and honest responses. based on that, i would definitely do business with him. I emailed a local tuner about a week ago on whether I should keep my stock bcs, or if he preferred to tune with mbc or 3-port, i'm still waiting and not holding my breath.

I bought a Stage 2 map from Clark months ago but never had time to apply the map and run the necessary logs until today. The whole process of sending him my first logs to him sending back a revised map with minor tweaks and sending a second set of logs until confirmation is good took about 2 hrs. My lonely wagon has only a Cobbs TBE and nothing else. The initial map that was emailed to me sent me flying (fast) but overboosting 18-19psi. The revised map toned it back down to safe levels making good smooth power delivery when compared to Cobbs Stage 2 map. Clark is win, thumbs up for good price and service. As a note, if you buy a map you must do LOGS. This guy has a pool of maps, so what works on one car may not neccessarily work well in yours w/o some tweaks.

Just got done sending logs back and forth with Clark. My car has UP/TBE, 565 injectors, Grimmspeed BCS, STI TMIC, and a couple other minor things.

My car feels soooooooooooooo much better than the Cobb Stage 2 map I was running (prior to injectors and BCS of course). There is more power throughout and it feels much much smoother/less laggy. Clark responded to all of my emails and logs within a couple of hours of me sending them, sometimes within 30 minutes!

This would be the best $150 I have spent on my car, I hightly recommend him!!! Thanks again man, the car feels great

Clark's customer service & tuning skills are unmatched! I'm in love with my subie all over again....
He came to El Paso in february and tuned 25 cars in 3 days with no complaints, this was His 3rd or 4th visit here and every time the tuning list gets bigger.
I highly recomend His maps and better yet I highly, highly recomende you setting up a group tune in your home town. it's very easy and You and your friends won't be disappointed..

I wanted to wait to give CT a review until i have had some time with the car to really see how his maps held up to my expectations.

To start of with I went with Clark after two other "email" tuners. One would not even have any form of communication until I wanted to cancel my order after two weeks of waiting and the other was pretty much the same. So I shoot CT and email and by the end of the evening I have a response and payment was sent. We had a little paypal hick up at first (which was neither of our faults) but after we got that situated I had my map in a week.

I did the pulls and the logs he requested, sent them in and got updates within hours. After two sets of logs the second map he sent me was good enough for both of us and now it was time for a little extended testing. All I can say is the car is friggin awesome. Boost kicks in at about 3k, peaks to ~21psi, and tapers to ~15psi at red line. At 3k it kicks in like a rabid ape and just keeps going.

After about 1 month of driving around I am extremely happy with both the service and tune and if I ever decide to go bigger Clark will get my business.

The mods he tuned for were:
Stage II
Perrin Catted DP and Intake
SPT Catback

Clark, I have not logged my car yet to send to you. Do I log the parameters you need one at a time? Do I log it at idle? You said you need 3 logs.

1. 2000 to 4000 RPM shifts
2. Log at idle after 5 minutes
3. log at WOT in 3rd gear

Is this correct?

Thanks

After three goes he got it nailed down. I was very impressed with his response times. I definitely will go back if I ever do any more upgrades.
