I can’t seem to “wrap my brain around” how this forum in general is organized.

Can anyone help? It just seems like one big conversations without a subject, end, or beginning. I type “2010 2.5i Premium” in search and end up here (like, right here where I’m replying).

Was anyone else this confused when first using the forum?

I come from a Willies Jeep forum background when I rebuilt a 1948 Willies CJ-2A - in that forum models had their own place and then by year. And searches brought up what was searched for.

It’s me, right? I’m just not suppose to be here? Ha ha

What are you looking for?

With how everything is interchangeable with Subarus, models and years aren't very critical. The meat a potatoes are in the technical forums. In there you can find information on a part that can be found on 3 different models that span over 10 years.

Smile First Subaru!

Just picked my first Subaru! It's an '08 wagon and I want to make it a bit more rugged for practical use on rough backroads, etc. I've found most of what I'm looking for, but I'm still looking for where to find a brush guard or something of the like?? Also a skidplate? Any and all help is appreciated.

I agree that those wheels look really good on your car! Also, may I ask what kind of springs your have? I need to replace my springs and dampers in the spring and I wouldn't mind a small drop similar to yours.

I have Koni struts with RCE black lowering springs. If I could do it again, I would go with Bilstein for the struts. Keep in mind if you go with lowering springs, be prepared to get adjustable LCA for the rear and front roll center adjustment to not put extra stress on the rest of the suspension.

Been meaning to do this to mine. My front bumper has so much dings and paint scratch from highway driving.

Did you get the bumpers used? or new? if so where from?

I got the front bumper new from the dealership and had a rear bumper in storage. I was planning to do all of this in the summer but thanks to a state police vehicle hitting my car while parked I only had to pay a fraction of the cost. So just ended up getting everything done.

No I purchased a used set. The sedan and wagon skirts are the same if you want to find a used set. Just make sure it's from the 08-10 year. Anything 11+ will not fit.

2011 2.5i Hatch, 5mt. Not a lot done but here's what I can think of off the top of me head. Total lift is 3-3.5" over stock. The DWS06s are awesome, but for more all-terrain traction and another ~3/4" of lift I'll be picking up a set of AT tires and 16" wheels in the spring

Exterior:
  • 2010 Forester Struts
  • 245/40/18 Continental dws06 - required fender massaging
  • 18x8.5" CE28N (Rep)
  • Blox Racing Rear Lower Control Arms
  • Megan Racing Trailing Arms
  • Whiteline Camber Bolts
  • Sway bar disconnect
  • Full LED Conversion
  • 42" light bar and 2x 3" ditch lights
  • Custom Roof rack/platform
  • 20% tint
  • Hella Supertones
  • Windshield Washer relocation

Interior:
  • Wrapped wheel
  • Seicane head unit
  • Wrapped trim
  • Switch panel
  • Footwell lighting
  • Full LED Conversion
