FML.
Spent 8 hrs yesterday pulling the entire interior (short of the dash) out of the OBS. Cleaned and scrubbed everything. Minus the wear the interior looks ****ing new (before there were stains everywhere, P.O was a wine salesman and spilled a few bottles) Literally took it down to the cushions and soaked the covers in hot water with stain remover, the bathroom looked like a scene from Dexter Today I spent another 4 hrs or so on the exterior. Washed, polished, washed, claybarred, washed, polished spots again, washed then waxed x2. Just finished the car, it's looking great (for an 11 year old black Michigan car) and my neighbor decides to mow his dead grass Now it looks like the car has been sitting in a field for the last ten years. |

True. With a fresh wax job it should clean right off relatively easily.

Don't lump me into that crowd. I've been telling those damn kids to get off of my lawn for 7 years now and I've just hired a kid to mow it.

We went one step further and are trying to create a slave, erm indentured servant to do our bidding. Can you still claim children as dependents if you call them minions? |

Tire blew out. Need new full set. So this weekend while I was finding creative ways to pay for a new set without my wife killing me and/or breaking the bank, I went out and finally said "f it, i'll do it myself" and painted my wheels. Will look better when I get my car tinted; but I'm impressed with myself because I'm not a do-it-yourself guy at all, and I'm trying to fix that with this car.
The worst part is sanding it down...takes forever. And only being able to do 2 wheels a day because of my using 2 jacks. Word to the wise though, don't touch your wheels after the last clear coat for a day or 2. It's still very soft and I had to retouch a couple spots when the slightest boot mark while putting the wheels back on would scuff it up . Luckily it hasn't been driven in 4 days (and it's killing me) but upon a fresh wash today, the wheels were very well done and I'm quite pleased with the finished product. And yes, I'm hiding the temp tire on the rear/driver. It looks so stupid and my car feels really, really naked with it on. |

Put on my Grimmspeed AOS. Two disappointments: 1) didn't have a connector in box (Matt at GS shipped one out today) so i asked the wife to get one from Lowes on the way home while I sat stranded and 2) buttoned everything up right except for clamping down the turbo side hose on my PW intercooler. It was a nice little surprise while taking it for a test drive. Luckily I didn't get far before realizing it. I had to limp it home.
