Question Need help!Need flywheel bulletin from SOA.Please help.

I need to know if there is a service bulletin from SOA that states that there is a problem with the 1999 Impreza 2.5 RS fly wheel.I am getting the run around from the dealer.Any help would be appreciated
The dealer will not change the fly wheel unless I replace the clutch and bearing no matter what shape the clutch plate is in that is in the car now. Is this the normal procedure for this.
The dealer has had my car for 3.5 weeks. they also had to replace the left cyclinder head.
I'm thinking about having the fly wheel refaced at a machine shop and telling the dealer to forget about it.
Can the dealer force me to buy a clutch if the one in now is still in good shape. What are my options? They wont install an act clutch plus that would void my warranty on the fly wheel and trans according to the dealer. Is this true.
Soa is backing the dealer so far.
Has anybody had the flywheel replaced and SOA also covered the clutch plate.
The problem I have is bad clutch chatter.
If there is anthing else you need t know email me.

thanks in advance,

I just picked my Suby up last week. My 99RS also had clutch chadder. The dealer replaced the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, fly wheel over and something else. I try to find the work order and scna it to you.

Jim

All this at dealer cost

One other thing, my dealer suggested that I buy a act clutch, and other aftermaket items and they would install it at no cost. They suggested this since chadder is an ongoing problem.

Hey, what does that chatter sound like? I have a MY00 RS and when I'm accelerating hard from about 35mph I hear a sort of hum coming from somewhere in my transmission (pretty sure at least). It stops almost immediately (fraction of a second) after I put the clutch in to shift. Also, my trans hates going into reverse. I come to a full stop, try to get the car to coast backwards a bit and it still freakin grinds. I've tried coming to a stop, putting the clutch in and out several times, coasting backwards a bit while lightly pushing into reverse, just repeating trying to put it into reverse with the clutch in without forcing it. Any suggestions? I haven't heard anything about MY00 having clutch problems yet. (The car has about 8k miles if that helps at all)

Curious, does this work need to be done within the warranty of the vehicle? My car is beginning to develop some chatter problems, but the car is out of warranty.
