Sure is from what I've heard as well. Those 5x100 knuckles are all the same.

The DCCD on the cluster won't work with your stock ECU. The easiest way I know to get the DCCD to work is to get the newest Spiider DCCD controller. It ties into your STI cluster to make your DCCD indicator on your cluster work. Besides that you WRX cluster doesn't have the necessary wiring so you'd need the whole ECU and all that.

my question to you is...what if i bought an 07 sti tranny and was goin to do all of this BUT i want to keep 5X100 wheels??

does the year of the axle matter at all...or is it the hubs and knuckles that cause the offset to change in the different years of cars??

Im kinda confused on this matter...cause i have a set of brembos already on my 03 wrx and want to stay 5X100

Any help would be great

Hey I would like to hear how this goes and total cost out the door... I have a 99 rs that I have considered doing a swap on.

Depends on the year. The 07 has some extra sensors I need. I'm pretty sure you at least need ECU and a few of the DCCD sensors but honestly I'm not sure what. I know the aftermarket stuff is easier and cheaper.

You'll definitely need the clutch/pp/flywheel, clutch fork, and slave cylinder. I'm thinking you'll also need master cylinder and the lines that connect it to the clutch pedal but again I've never done it so I can't be sure. If someone can chime in I'll edit my original post.

If you have an 07 STI tranny the 07 tranny has a 1:1.1 center diff, same as the WRX. I don't think you can run the WRX rear axles on an R180 so AFAIK you'd keep the R160, run an auto drive shift, then do stubs up front. You also might be able to rig an r180 from an 04 to match up axles but I've never done it so I'm not 100%.

I think I've sourced parts on everything and have it all up there but I'll let you know when I do it. Should be the next couple of weeks.

I think Drive Shaft Shop made some custom axles just for that purpose buuuuut I don't think they were too cheap.

Yep, and they don't make them anymore. I used to have a set but sold them recently.

And i cant control the DCCD or switch it to auto. but i can before i start the car on key power. ive checked all my wiring over, cant find anything. any ideas?

Do you have the vehicle speed sensor plugged in?

where did you get STI Knuckles and hubs for $100? I'm assuming that's for all 4, so $25 each corner. That's insanely cheap.

I got them together with a little bit of other stuff so that might be a bit of a discount.

I posted this in the suspension forum, but thought I might have some luck here as well as people reading this are planning on doing, or have already done, a 6 speed swap.

I have an 02 wagon and have an 05 STi trans kit with the diff and hubs and etc on the way. I need suspension and did not realize how complicated that can be until just the other day. The rear suspension on my wagon differs from that off the sedan, and that looks like it is going to create some complications for me. Anyone have any experience putting sedan suspension in a wagon? Or putting the STi suspension in a wagon?

Yup, what part are you worried about?

STI struts and springs bolt up fine to the rear top hat perches and the struts bolt to your 05 knuckles. STI lateral links will bolt to STI knuckles and WRX cross member. You can use your stock lateral links, too. WRX sway bar will mount right up to your WRX cross member and WRX lateral links. If you use STI lateral links you just need to make sure you get STI end links, the bar will be the same either way. STI rear diff bolts right in to your cross member, axles bolt right up.

So if I get some STi Lateral links and some STi endlinks, I can run any 05+ struts, springs, and tophats, and everything else can stay wrx? Is that true for the front and the back? I thought the wagon had different rear control arms (though I do not know in what way they differ) and that would interfere with having everything bolt up.

Im new to the suspension game so any info is appreciated.
