It's no competition, but I find it irksome when ppl who have NO education or experience in the field, act as though they know as much, or more, than I do, when I've worked in the field 14 yrs and have 6 years education. 4 in Psychology and a Master's in Social Work. I don't know everything, but I know more than nothing.

Agreed. ^^

You three are all essentially saying the same thing only splitting hairs, though CandyO is a working professional.

The specifc diagnosis remains an unknown while the bottom line is that this bitch is off kilter by more than a few degrees. If she were a boat her bilge pumps would be swamped.

I agree there is more funny here then anything and that is what should be concentrated on I apologize

I also agree with you, that there is too little information for a proper diagnosis but the chick is ****ed up two ways from Sunday plain and simple.

As for Aquacow, the only way that he is getting rid of this girl is to change phone numbers, kill her, or have her committed. I have had similar experiences with an ex-psycho **** and the only way I got rid of her was once she went into the hospital I changed my #. Scary thing is almost two years later, new phone # and I get hang up calls all the time that I just know are from her.

:finger:

I have plenty of experience in the field -- I deal with these types of claims and these issues frequently. And I still think I was right in saying that people were jumping the gun too soon in saying that she was paranoid schizo, or otherwise psychotic, or even bipolar. Pretty much the only thing virtually for certain from the voicemails is Borderline.

Speaking for myself only, the reason I chimed in is because I see where this path is leading and nothing good can come of it for either person involved. It's already gone on too long as it is and if somethings not done someone is going to get hurt and I'm not talking about feelings.

One or two wacky calls is funny. More than five is a burst gas pipe that needs to be shut down and capped. If its allowed to continue this thread will end up with WAPCE tales of personal property and/or self inflicted damage as well as introduction of officer Friendly and possibly the 'Eyewitness News'. She's begun to obsess over AcquaCow and mentally assigning him as her rescuer/savior/inside friend. Thats not good.

At this point the 'relationship' is several steps beyond a threshold which if taken too far cannot be reversed from. This must be stopped now while there's still light and an obvious pathway out.

You're comfortable saying bipolar on just some voicemails? Whatever. That would be wrong and contrary to the DSM. I have plenty of experience. I dont say bull**** like that when you chime in on a legal thread. We both have cross training due to the issues we address.

What are you talking about? The diagnoses from drunken rambling 2am voicemails is much funnier than the "OT'er of the week" and "bestest thread evar" comments from the peanut gallery.

Uh, I didn't say anything definitive at all, and quite frankly, I don't really CARE. I also don't pretend to practice law, or say I know much about it at all. I typically defer to you on such matters.

Where?

Yanno, I think "high functioning" ppl are more annoying than the schizophrenics of the world. I think it's because I usually have more expectations of them, but as you probably know, the recovery rate for BPD, etc is very low. With a schizophrenic, once you learn which type they are, and their belief systems, then you pretty know what your options for treatment are, and that's that.

Oooh, Kaiser! New idea for a song, Pink by Aerosmith. Throw that in the background of one of her rambling cries for help.
