My stock turbo took a **** on my 08 sti!! Needless to say I have found a good deal on a stock turbo , a big mouth 16g , AND a 20g turbo.. My car is stock except AEM intake a stage 1 Cobb accessport. Do I need fuel injectors or anything to run the 20g or 16g..

Based on your questions which prove you are months away from having the proper knowledge base to safely upgrade, I vote you just swap out with a newer stock turbo and continue to research for down the road.

This is the best advice. OP you obviously don't have even the basic understanding of what this car needs to function properly. I'm not trying to be a dick, just realistic. There are literally thousands of pages here on this forum that you can use to educate yourself on anything from brakes to coilovers, and turbos to intercoolers. A good place to start is by reading the manifesto on the newbie forum (it's a sticky on the top). Even though some of the information is a little dated, it's still a valid source of good information about the cars. After that if you start having more specific questions you'll want to search the approiate forums. If after all that you cannot find your answer then post up a question.

School yourself. The forums have a bunch of information that you just need to read about.

Bigger turbo bigger injectors bigger pump tune etc. Read Unabombers Manifesto. Don't do anything until you read that entire thing. Find a reputable tuner in your area. Go to your local forums. Don't go to some random tuner that doesn't know **** about subaru's.

Hes full of **** you will need a tune for anything but stock. You proly wont need bigger injectors for the 16g but def for the 20g.

16G if you get agressive you will most def. need injectors. I had an HTA68 on my 2011 WRX with FP 255lph, FIC 800 CC injectors and EBCS, made over 350 WHP (with meth) with a misely 16G, just upgraded to a 20G.

turbo died as in turbine exploded or are the oil seals shot? id say get another 48 and go stage 2 with a downpipe. stage 2 really opens up our cars. you will be happy with the power increase. also, like others said, any mods need a retune, especially a aftermarket turbo. good luck.
