hey James,

ordered mine from speedyracer - will pick them up in Point Roberts on May 17th on our way to Vegas (flying out of Vancouver)... won't install it til I get back to Victoria but will be back through Van on my way to Ottawa on May 31st.

well guys, got my headers today and put then on (pics and video in about two weeks when my gf comes back from vacation with the camera) the fitment was good with only a little muscling to get them in. the only question i have for anyone with these headers is if you have more engine compartment noise. I don't know if it's leaking a little bit, or if it's just the sound of exhaust gasses through the tubes, but i can hear air moving a lot when i get on the throttle

Sounds good Andrew...We better have a mini-meet in Vancouver before you leave for Ottawa, so I can hear that header!

well you def hear the pulses; however, I am pretty sure I have a leak maybe where it hooks up to the cat pipe.. because I always hear this slappy sound.. and a lil high pitched noise when I rev it.

1. LOVE mine on my 2004, they fit perfectly, but I got mine from eAutoworks

2. You have to either A. wrap them entirely in good header wrap B. get them ceramic coated, otherwise you are going to run into eventual warping problems, split welds, etc.

3. It is an absolutely awesome mod, your torque curve will level off and pull from start to top end. Plus the sound is SWEET

here are some pics of the install i did on an 01 RS. these are the real borla unequal length headers...

the car

the headers off the car... i desided to remove the midpipe for install... it seemed like an easier choice than messing around with trying to get the header off while in the car... it seemed to pay off... the stock header is sitting off in the corner beside the toolbox...

and installed on the car...

yes i know there is a coolant leak... it's been fixed i think... so that header plus one of these (next pic) makes for some sweet sweet exhaust that'll blow the socks of everybody, fair priced, and it isn't noticable to the eye keeping the sound police from suspecting you... plus you can make it nice and quite like stock for going through neighborhoods...

not perfect... we had to muscle it in... the two sides of the header were to close together and didn't line up with the studs on the heads...

I don't like how close the cross over pipe runs to the timing belt cover.

I guess I'll end up fabricating one myself.

It looks like it's almost touching, but I think in reality it's a much larger gap than that. I've never heard any complaints by the Legacy owners with Borlas or Borla knockoffs.
