I have in writing that I will get to keep the stock wheels. You have to ask.

Upload to tinypic and post the [img] link, or just copy and paste the link. I swear kids these days don't know how to internet.

Edmunds.com has updated their order sheet for the 2015 wrx. They have listed the underspoilers separately with their respective msrp and invoice prices. So the spoilers Are not coming with the sport package. If you order at invoice, all the lips and spoilers will set you back about 1000.

Of course. A cat back does 0 for performance. It's a cosmetic and sound package, nothing more....

Usually 'sport' packages these days include non-performance related items. Gone are the days when 'sport' meant upgraded suspension and exhaust... haha.

Am I crazy? Looking at that cars101 page, nowhere does it say that the sport package includes the lip spoilers or sideskirts. It comes with black 17" sti alloys, short throw shifter w/special shift knob and STI exhaust for $2800+. IMVHO a complete waste of money for numerous reasons:

1: you don't keep your old wheels, you basically are paying 1200-1500 to swap the wheel style.

2: Short throw shifter + knob might run you 400 or so outside of this package. aftermarket will release STS's for 100-150 by the end of the year & i'm sure you can buy a super-nice knob for 100 so why waste your money?

3: You don't keep your stock exhaust and instead get a non-peformance-gaining, loud "STI" exhaust that retails for 1100 or so. I don't know where to begin with this one....most decent aftermarket catbacks are 600-900 and offer compatible downpipes for when you want to actually get performance gains via a tune. Catbacks on WRX's have never given a noticeable performance gain without a downpipe + tune.

So sorry to say, IMVHO this so-called "Sport package" is a complete waste of money. For the 2800 you'll spend you could get a full turbo-back exhaust w/tune, short-throw shifter & knob and a set of 18" aftermarket wheels + tires and be able to keep your stock wheels for the winter & factory exhaust in case you want to return to stock (or sell for a few hundred to a poor soul who paid 1100 for that STI exhaust option from the dealer).

^^ I don't disagree with your points, but I would just mention that some people (even if they are among the WRX-buying crowd) are extremely cautious / conservative when it comes to modding. And naturally, most dealerships are not at all modification friendly as far as 3rd party items are concerned.

I agree very much so. Warranty means something to some. It means something to me. If Subaru would still warranty broken parts if modded, heck yeah aftermarket all the way. But Subaru is even stricter than most when it comes to mods, and it has been covered that they will likely know if you mod, break something, then revert back to stock.

This will be my DD and I won't be abusing my warranty. But I want everything that's in the sport package.

Anyone take delivery of a '15 WRX with Sport Package equipment yet? Mine was supposed to arrive on Friday 4/11/14 and is still not in. I've heard they were short on STi exhaust to install at the port. Possibly the holdup on mine. Hoping to see my car soon. Wheels arrived at the dealer on 3/21. Having them refinished in GK1 Subaru-BBS gold before installation.

Mine was supposed to be here 4/14 but got pushed back until 4/28 because of the exhaust issue. Last I heard it had something to do with rust on it.

Jrw...where are you getting this information on the delay/rust issue? I hope to see my car and its STI exhaust soon.

The delay was in a bulletin put out by Subaru. It's floating around on one of the many threads on here and is in a thread on IWSTI forum. It didn't give the reason for the issue with them but a dealer rep told someone the issue was related to surface rust on some of the units that were at the port. I'm not sure but I do know mine has been at port for at least a week and has been pushed back until 4/28.

I believe it was in one of the 2015 order threads in General and the 2015 WRX thread in the News and Rumors thread. It was in the 2015 Subaru WRX/STI Post-Order Discussion thread on IWSTI. All those threads are hundreds of pages long but they're in there somewhere.

Has anyone seen an STI exhaust equipped WRX in person yet? Mine was ordered 2/18 and is still not in. Held up at port waiting on the exhaust I presume. How long are they gonna make us wait? All for STI embossed tips and a little more noticeable noise? Dealer says shows delivery date of today (4/22) yet Subaru has not signed off on the car yet as having left port via truck. I'm so mad others are driving their FUN base WRXs around while I wait for mine because I checked the goofy $3k sport package box. Shoulda installed my own wheels shifter and exhaust.

On a positive note I had the black STI sport wheels refinished in BBS gold. Should look killer against WRB.

Mine has been delayed a second time, now ETA is 5/12. This is killing me.

Good news. My car's status has been changed to released. It's coming via truck from Baltimore to PA. I'll post some pics after I take delivery. Hopefully some audio of the exhaust as well.

Tard question: those look like 05-07 BBS wheels but for some reason look like 18's. Are they?

they look better than I figured they'd look.
