Want an aquarium, but don't know where to start?
I recently was wondering if anyone was inspired to start up there own fish tank after viewing the MIAC Fish and Aquarium thread(http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...highlight=fish), but had no idea how to start, where to look.
Well, I would hope that I could remedy that. I find myself very knowledgeable when it comes to the world of setting up both salt and freshwater aquariums ad have a pretty large knowledge of saltwater fish and invertebrates, as well as a pretty good knowledge of freshwater fish.(saltwater is my specialty) So, for the cost of materials(and livestock), gas(depending on where you live) and a monthly fee that would vary depending on what you would like me to do(anywhere to setup up to feeding the fish every day and turning the lights on and off) All Livestock and a multitude of drygoods will come from "Franklin Hardware & Pet". The guy there gets some amazing stuff for real cheap. If in the Frederick area, corals might come from "Mr. Coral" depending on what you want. the guy gets his corals straight from the divers so he has price that no other store can come close to. I Will work anywhere in Chambersburg, greencastle, Hagerstown, Frederick, and anywhere inbetween. My zip is 17263 and would most likely do work anywhere within a 50 mile radius. If interested in this, either pm me, E-mail me at [email protected] or give me a call at 240-818-2014. (Mods, I do apologize if I am overstepping my bounds. If this gets going, I would certainly apply for vendors status)

That's true, saltwater fish can be very expensive, but if you do it right the first time, you'll end up saving a lot of time and headache. I learned this the hard way.
Here's a bad cellphone pic of my tank. You might be able to see my clownfish. All the purple crap on the glass is called coraline algae which is a sign of a tank with near perfect if not perfect wAter conditions, and I have to scrape it off so I can look into the tank. Here's a pic of my beautiful Blue spot puffer(pic doesn't do him justice) I'd have more coral and crap in there except I seriously lack in the financial area. or you could share your knowledge over the internet for free like they do on the Fish forums
instead of charging someone(vendor status), are you a marine biologist? |

As I stated in my first post, that If I was overstepping my bounds(as into vendor status area) that I was deeply sorry and that even if I wasn't, if this got off the ground, I would sign up for vendors status. If the mods feel that I am going beyond my limits then they can shut the thread down any time and I would not be the least bit angry with them. Sorry if I offended you PSM-04-STi. I did not mean to. |
