Default JDM EJ207- Where to install oil pressure sensor

So when I had my USDM WRX EJ205 motor I had installed my apexi oil pressure sensor into the port on the block below the intake manifold/alternator. I had removed the set screw type thing on the block and installed some NPT fittings and a little metal line to raise the locoation of my sensor to above the intake manifold. The sensor has what, an 1/8" NPT fitting.

This worked well. This seems like (being the engineer that I am) a better place than adding on a oil filter adapter to install sensors. The oil filter adapter just seems kinda hokey, but would work perfectly fine.

So on my JDM EJ207 swap where is the best place to install the oil pressure sensor? Is there a similiar port or bung on this EJ207 block or do I just go the route of the filter adapter?

Unless there is something unique about the EJ207, every Ej series block I have ever seen has that port you used...
