A sigh of relief, ahhhh. We got SNOW!! Whoooaaa snow much fun. I am cherishing every moment

As for snow amounts. Enough snow to keep the excrutiatingly slow drivers off the road is all thats needed.

Should have snow snow banks for ice racing now

Well, there's a fine balance. You want so much snow that it paralyzes the city, but not so much that we can't get our Scoobies out. You need at LEAST a foot and a half, ajudged by my Evanston alley last year. This seemed to be the amount that had piled up, and as a deliriously happy consequence, only myself and a bloke with a Range Rover could get out and go about.

There were no cars on the streets in Evanston, and it was fabulous. Entering Chicago, however, your progress was impeded by little speed bumps made of road salt, strewn here and there as evidence of the salt trucks' excesses.

Rest assured that we won't get enough of the white stuff tonight, which is just as well, since my car won't be ready until tomorrow afternoon.
