Default how much rain is too much rain for CART autox?

I was checking the weather channel site, and it looks like rain for the next few days, including Sunday.
At what point would they cancel the autox?

thanks

Peter

oohh Pat Olsen, hello Pat, where are you Pat?

Pat will know. For reference PCA and SCCA run in the rain so long as there is no lightning and the wind isn't blowing the timer over. I would imagine CART is similar although I've never run with them in the rain before.

Theoretically the events are run rain-or-shine. At one event last year a t-storm rolled in and they stopped the event for a bit (due to the lightning). I was in the Mustang, I was soaking wet already, and the interior in that thing would fog up mercilessly (I think it was due to the fact the car was running pig rich, and the cats were trying to catch on fire from all the fuel in the exhaust - all that heat under the car turned the interior into a sauna), so I took off. It turned out that the rain passed in about 30min and they started the event back up again. Oh well.

Earlier this year there was supposed to be a storm coming, so we hustled through the runs and I think we skipped fun runs so we could get everything cleaned up before it started pouring rain.

Anyway, the answer is supposed to be they run rain-or-shine.

Default thanks

Thanks for the updates guys,

I think that the subies would have a great advantage once the track gets slick. The times should be interesing if the guys are running the slicks with it being wet!
