Cool Michigan spotting

This morning I saw an old model RS Sedan in Rally blue pearl. <--- 99 color but this was a sedan. Also had a coupe wing. Anybody know who this is? Turning to go east on Auburn Rd. from Ryan around 7 am.

so true, I rarely see anyone in farmington, although I did see a blue wagon going south on I-275 last weekend(?IIRC). At work I noticed somebody has a dark blue '02 RS, and I noticed some SCCA stuff on the passenger seat? Anyone?

My shop has been open for months but I don't stock anything for 2.5's at all. Sorry guys but just no market for those now. I can get you anything you like though for a great deal. Just let me know. I'll be at the shop this afternoon installing my Cusco sway bars and maybe my BOV (if my flange comes in today).

I live in the Farmington Hills/West Bloomfield area and I have yet to see another WRX. I have seen a couple of 2.5 RS's.

Slide,

I think that was me you saw at the proving grounds. I saw your WRX there once and I was jealous. I also saw a silver WRX driving south on 75 near Troy, any takers on that one??

MichiganRS - no lancers, no WRX's in our competitive lot. There are a couple S2000, that new hardtop convertible lexus and others, although I work on the truck side of things so the only really fun stuff I get to drive is the SVT lightning. I would REALLY like to work in the 'vette group, since every once in a while they get a hold of Vipers, Ferraris, I saw a Bently(?!?) on the grounds a month ago, lots of high performance stuff.

mi_25rs - yup I park in B-lot, I was coming back from lunch and saw your RS there. Very nice blue color. At first I though it was a WRX, and I was thinking 'if I new they offered it in that color, I would have got it!' then I noticed the badging. Apparently my blue it too close to 'water blue' and the local birds decide it is a puddle and poop on my car.

If you ever see a sedona red WRX wagon with a Yakima rack and BBS' on it (m plated) thats me. Usually around Washtenaw County though.

I don't drive my RS too much, but it's black with a couple of Michigan Tech Univ. stickers and some PIAA XT 80s on the front.

Hopefull I get to meet mostof you guys on Saturday...or Sunday at OneLap....

btw, there should be a street legal (and 100% legit) Lancer Evolution V periodically hitting the streets in this area within the next few months. It will be hard to miss. That's all I can say about it, sorry.

Ryan

Actually TAD in Lake Zurich, IL always has 4 or 5 Lancers lying around. THey never really got me excited. Just not my kind of car I guess.

You guys born here, what do you think about a Ford guy, me, buying a WRX? Does it spell stagnation for my job? Why does it seem like such a big deal?

Alas, I'm selling my red WRX sedan anyway. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it yet. Getting, guess what, a Focus ZX3 instead.

No, it won't hurt your job, I think. I have got a lot of good impressions from work (GM), people asking how I like it, and if it is fast.

Although, Subaru is technically a affiliate of GM now, maybe not so bad for me . . .

Hey Ottos... wait for the Focus RS(Rally Sport) based on the ZX3.. if they ever bring that baby over here. I work with Ford stuff everyday, helping create their ford vehicles U.S. site, and the more I see the Ford cars.. the more I am unimpressed by them.
I wouldn't mind the Focus RS(rallysport) or the Mondeo, euro only car, but I would not buy it grey market for sure. Not worth the trouble.
Ford should rethink their choices for the US market. The Mondeo is a nice looking car, but for Europe only, and then we get the Focus?? I mean there seriously is something wrong with the majority of the consumers here in the U.S., as far as what asthetically looks nice, then again that's MHO. GM is another story..think Aztek, go figure...
