The 86271FJ601 is one of the navigation head units made for Subaru by Fujitsu Ten. Those use Toyota-style connectors. There are literally a dozen or more different model #s that look identical, used in WRX/STi, Forester, Impreza, Crosstrek, and BRZ across 2012-2014 and some 2015's, as well as some Toyotas.

I've posted pin-outs here (post #9 in this thread).

Pictures are back in post #4 in that same thread.

question....
1) HEAD UNIT P/N: 86271FJ601 has the same pin outs as 86271FG600?? and what is the difference???
2) if a radio is out of a bzr with same part number as what is in a impreza, can it work in a imperza sport???

86271FG600 has identical pin-outs and features as the 86271FJ601.

Contrary to what was shown for the one you found listed on eBay, neither of those came out of a BRZ.

As I mentioned in my e-mail, Subaru has used similar OEM Fujitsu Ten navigation HUs across 2012-2014 (and some 2015) Impreza, Crosstrek, WRX, STi, Forester, and BRZ models. The fronts and rears look identical, except for the short ID number above the volume knob and on the sticker on the rear. They all have identical pin-outs. Similar-looking models were used outside North America in some Toyota models.

To check what car models/years a Subaru OEM HU was used in, go to parts.subaru.com, click on "search" at the upper right corner, and enter the Subaru part number (86271...). Find the item in the results, view the page for that item, then click on "What This Fits" to see all the car models/years in which it was used.

86271FG600 and 86271FG601 were only used in 2012 WRX and STi. They were replaced by 86271FG620 (which was also used in 2013 WRX and STi).

86271FJ601 (and 86271FJ600) was only used in 2012 Impreza (not WRX or STi).

The main difference on the BRZ versions is that they have a slight difference in their aux enable circuit. Because of that, I recommend that you go with a non-BRZ model -- there are many different ones available.

Make sure the seller is including the correct map SD card. Those are not interchangeable -- each HU model needs a corresponding SD card P/N. I don't know what you would need to do to get appropriate maps for your location outside the USA, but even if you don't plan to use the navigation functions these HUs still need the SD card to boot and run.

So I was trying to replace the navi touch screen head unit cause I'm having the "sd card program required" message. I noticed the main connector is different from the 20 pin connector. Can anyone provide me the connector pin Diagram, for the navi stereo, a link for a program update to a generic SD card (if the the OEM Subaru SD card isn't required), or where I can find an adapter for the navi connector to the 20 pin non navi stereo.
In my 2010, I have the 20 pin connector non-Navi so the android head unit I bought was plug and play, but I don't think I can do that with this one unless I cut the male connector and splice it.
