I'm not really a fan of the new body style...
That white one on track looks ok but stilll.. eh Maybe because it still has the 08 front look. |

This car finally gives me a reason to buy another new Subaru. Considering I haven't bought one in 11 years, I think that's pretty cool.

So is the black, lowered, wingless STI a photoshop job or is that an actual car?

It looks good. I like the hatchback though. Direct injection and HP bump would be a nice addition...

Here's some pics, long overdue tho.
Ta-Da! I went through 5-6 pages in this thread and saw one STi picture. This should be enough. |

In 2008, 4 of us ran out and bought a new STI. 3/4 have blown up and 2 of those multiple times. Though a small sampling group, I've heard the same thing over and over since 2008 in other regions. The problem is worse than it seems. It isn't a small percentage. |

So... ummm... Did anyone catch the latest color option according to www.subarugenuineparts.com for pre-ordering the 2011 STi wing?
Sky Blue Pearl STi? I'm down, but I have a feeling most aren't. |

So, what are you looking to get; Sedan or Hatch? Not that I am in the market but if I were, I'm kind of diggin' the sedan myself. |

I agree with the color idea. I'm pretty sure I'd sacrifice a sunroof and leather seats for Sky Blue since it's my all-time favorite color. That kinda clues you in that I'm aiming for the sedan since the hatchback won't be offered in a Limited trim. I gave up my 2005 STi in the past because it didn't have the utility that I thought I desired AND I was trying to look more "mature". Scratch that! Now Subaru sedans have the fold down seats (which works perfectly for me) and I really am a sucker for that big wing. I used to use the wing as a blind spot on purpose to not make eye contact with drivers behind me just in case I aggravated them for whatever reason (I'm in Alaska, so pick your poison). Tinted windows pretty much give the same results, I guess. Also, the big wing makes it easier to find your car in a crowded parking lot. I don't like the tail lights and trunk angle of the hatch. Pretty much, I don't like the rear. I think Subaru sucks at making rear ends, honestly. I couldn't get over how square my Forester was, although tinting the tails might've helped blend it a bit because the tall tail lights on the Forester emphasize the squareness. I'm all about change and I'm all for embracing the new STi sedan. At least we get some variety now. |
