You obviously missed the joke about the Camry.

I have 0 interest in the BRZ at all; albeit I'm quite entertained by the people whining about specs on a car they can't even drive yet.

To use your logic, why would a Camry follow you into the twisties? Fool. And there we go with the same boring, and tired rebuttal of "This isn't the car for you" When all else fails fall back on that. It holds no water anymore. The car is slow, deal with it. Even Subaru refuses to deny it.
It is a slow car, so what? the more important thing is it's not a bloated pig that slow down at every gas station. I am tire of people having small balls (omg, i need more powar) complaining how this car or that car is slow. It is not like you have the fastest car on the road pal, far from it! How many prize have you collected drag racing on the street? None? But probally a couple of speeding tickets and from time to time got passed by slow Civic driven by kamikaze.

breaking free gives the illusion of quick? naw. but breaking free gives the reality of fun, without needing excessive power

Cars that break loose easily aren't usually viewed as good handling! Lol.
unless they do so in an controlled, well balanced manner; thus suggesting 'good handling' and likely a very positive response (aka obviously what you are meaning by 'good handling') to stickier rubber

It's been clocked as having a set 6.4 0-60 time. That's far from quick! Hell my wife's 328xi puts down better times, and her Charger R/T, the bloated pig that it was, was over a second quicker.
yeah 0-60 is not gonna be stellar. those are both fairly quick cars.. or the 328 is at least average (dunno bout awd version) but R/T is obviously quite capable of rapidly pummeling down a straight line.

To use your logic, why would a Camry follow you into the twisties? Fool. And there we go with the same boring, and tired rebuttal of "This isn't the car for you" When all else fails fall back on that. It holds no water anymore. The car is slow, deal with it. Even Subaru refuses to deny it.
maybe youre getting these responses which propose that you 'dont get it' because you are comparing it to a dodge charger? i dont think there is a new car on the market that could be more opposite to the BRZ/FRS than the charger.

Some people were just hoping for a little more "nut" in terms of acceleration; I have to admit, I was one of them. It will be a fun car, but slow.

To use that logic: why would you be doing anything with a Camry that would crush your reality by it passing you?

The BRZ will definitely be fun on an autocross, but it will be bland on the street where I do 100% of my driving, unless I'm driving recklessly.
A street car doesn't need to be fast or quick in a straight line to be fun. 'Fun' is subjective anyway. (Obviously your idea of fun is having a lot of power or going fast.) Also, doing a pull on an on-ramp is still reckless, as is driving fast in a straight line on public roads.

Then you are not the target demographic for this car.
