Default 2008 Season NFL Thread "Texas Edition"

Well the season "officially" kicked off last night but since neither team from Dallas or Houston played it didn't matter to us Texas folk. The Giants did look good in the first half but then bogged down. The Redskins looked clueless for the most part.

I'm ready for next Monday night since it's the Cowboys home opener! Git 'er Done!

Go Dolphins! With that being said, I'll be glad if they make .500.

Serious contender, Giants. Dallas is a maybe.

Dolphins will be alot better, Chad Pennington is an upgrade over the trash they called QBs the last few seasons. They should win about 6 games and probably lose some very close ones.

Are you kidding? The Giants are NOT serious contenders. They're not even close to the best team in their conference, much less division. The only NFC team I'm worried about is the Eagles.

How far do you think Dallas will go? I'm thinking 2nd round of playoffs. If they play their cards right, they're contenders. But they gotta stay healthy. Romo's a good QB, got a few good receivers, pretty decent D.

I'm committing to all the way to the Super Bowl. They have the talent, but like you said, just need to keep it healthy. Especially our O-line. It's starting to look like an AARP convention out there...

that was a great game. dallas looked really good today, that O line is no joke. For a the first half it looked like two of them could take the entire D line of Cleveland.

That being said, I am a die hard Giants fan. Flame away if you must, but i grew up loving that team, my first football memory is of the bills kicker missing the fieldgoal in the 1990 super bowl. Should be a good season regardless, the NFC East is going to be an interesting battle.

As for the texans, let's hope the steelers just had a great game because that was sad.

How old are you? Reason I ask is because that doesn't seem like so long ago when I remember Tony Dorsett AND Herschel Walker lining up in the Cowboys backfield and I remember Dorsett and Drew Pearson coming to my elementary school when I was in the first grade!

LT doesn't really get into the groove until week 5 or 6, maybe he should try playing in the preseason.

Luv Ya Blue, Bum Phillips and Earl Campbell tip-toeing down the sidelines are my first memories of football.

I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it.
