Here is hoping that Subaru is reading this thread.

The car looks good

Give me a 300hp 2.5l STI version that weighs less than 2800lbs.
Make it light by giving us aluminum hood and fenders (or plastic)
Ditch the CVT - give me a strong 5 speed on said STI.
Find a way to move the engine back 4 inches
Give us front hubs with better bearings and extend the location off the ball joint down 2" (look at what MSI is doing with their hubs)

Do those things and I'll buy one with cash the second it is available.

sorry doesn't appeal to me. I actually really like the look of the current hatches. This concept is about as exciting as GM's chocie not to offer AWD or more HP in their Regal GS production car.....

I don't really like the arches on the concept. I like it when flared fenders look smooth and flow with the car. These sort of interrupt the otherwise sharp lines of the car.

Thinking that Subaru's going to read this thread:

Thank you, for at least starting to head in the right direction. This is one damn good looking car...

Please renovate the insides......of the engine bay....

I think the rear end and maybe the front is a little overstyled, maybe streamline it a bit more, just looks too busy. But from the side and quarter panel view, the things looks like it's going to warp speed standing still! I was gonna go for an Audi A5 as my next car, but if they get this thing right in WRX/STI trim levels, I'm not going anywhere! Thank you, thank you, thank you Subaru for getting it right! (Well, almost, clean up the rear end and front air intakes and I'm in. Plasma blue please

Welcome back Subaru! The design of this concept looks so much more up-to-date than the current Impreza.
My favorite Impreza design is and will be the GC/GF series forever!!!

not floating my boat at all, even past the looks why go to a CVT trans? it just screams no performance! nothing about that car looks aggressive! the back end actually reminds me of the Tc. the front grill is doing nothing for it, personally i dont like the look of the fronts of the new legacy and this looks like where they are going. this is just a concept and im hoping the look changes ALOT, i dont see how they could make this into a WRX or sti.

People keep saying that it's just a concept car and it will change, but...it looks a whole lot like the current gen of the Legacy. With the Legacy in mind, there is a whole lot of anything radical to tone down or make cleaner, IMO. Maybe clean up a few of the contours on the rear and make the front street-legal (bumpers and such), but not too much else. If this is the direction that they are going with the entire line up of Subies, I'm thinking this might be close to reality.

Maybe with the blowback that they got on the last round of changes, they are floating the concept out early to give the masses a chance to comment before the release.

Well I have been asking for a coupe, and in the broadest sense of the word, this is a coupe. But a coupe with four doors isn't what I was asking for. I wish that they and other manufacturers would build cars with just two doors. Not everyone have two kids (or more) and a dog that they need four doors for. There was a time in the automotive industry when you could buy a model of car with either two doors or four, even five doors (a wagon), in a hard top, post, or covertable. I wonder who their marketing staffs are talking to, I have never been asked by any of them what I want in a car. I have always said, if Subaru ever makes a two door car I will buy it, it is beginning to look like I will never buy another Subaru.

lol i would hate to start this, but sorry, our cars don't look like corollas. they look like a Subaru. the traditional subaru image has been long gone after they pulled out of WRC... which I believe was in 08. what you have seen Subaru do from 08+.... is called selling out. it's not necessarily a bad thing... it's just... the true subaru impreza is gone.

Are you seriously asking why they have a CVT transmission?
I'll give you a hint: it rhymes with ass smileage.

I'm sure they're just going to say "You know what? We're only offering CVT in our cars from now on."

Also, everything else you said is wrong too.

I guess is its smaller then the current impreza, from looking at the photo of the Japanese guy standing next to it, either he is an abnormally tall jdm dude or the car is small, but i like the rear, and the front, but the sides kill it

Not a bad looking concept. It looks to big to be an Impreza. It just screams Legacy to me for some reason. Probably cause I can't picture it with a scoop, wing and a set of rally tires.

Still waiting for a 3.6RS twinturbo: 2 doors, 2 turbos, 4 burning tires, 6 horizontally opposed cylinders and 6 indestructible gears.
