The front end is attractive enough but the rear end is a mess. I really hope the Sti version retains the concept's tail lights. Looks like it might make a handsome convertible though.

By STi version they mean just adding new control arms and stiffer springs (which are pretty much the only improvements Subaru has made to the WRX).

Where are you guys seeing Z car and RX8? This thing looks like a Japanese Z4.

Really hoping the STi comes with a larger powerplant

Regardless of how much power this thing puts out stock, it still looks like a blast to drive. I bet even if it had 120HP it would still be a fun car.

To the best of my knowledge, Subaru hasn't released any information on what Sti spec would actually be for the BRZ. There rumors of a bump in power albeit not in the form of a turbocharged motor.

That's exactly what I thought looking at the rear, specifically the tail light shape.

its a good start to something different. I am sure with us wanting an STi version, Subaru will make one. Can't wait to see one in person.

Let's see what the U.S is not getting fro, that picture. I'm thinking rear fog and add some more weight.. And a less powerful engine compared to the Japan spec

I agree..first thing that came to mind was Z4...not a bad thing, its very appealing.
Still...If I wanted a two door RWD, I would not go with a 200hp car.
I wonder if Toyota will have a "Supra" edition (for those of you old enough, you remember that was a Celica first).

If you're looking for a more extreme BRZ, you don't have to wait long. Subaru's STI version is certain to be right around the corner.
is this an opinion or does this guy actually know something we dont

I think the real challenge would be trying to keeping a straight face while they try to explain. Ill give 3 or 4 do-overs to anyone who tries to explain it to me and fails before I tell 'em to just stop.

I have been contemplating getting back into a Subaru as a daily driver in the next year or so, but this thing is kind of a turn off from the brand if this is the direction they are going, to be honest :/

If Subaru wants to do it right, drop the EJ257 and bring the EJ207 to the states for the STI model. Low mounted turbo, twin-scroll, 8krpm redline 300hp...yes please!

like the body lines and overall appearance of the BRZ. It would be a nice addition to my current family of Subarus, as a daily since its na.
