Updated the spreadsheet. Ordered a CWP Base model STI with recaros! Dealer said it wont be in until October which is fine with me and allows me to put down a larger deposit.

I'll be trading in my 17 premium wrx which I got a great offer on and as well as my STI which was priced below invoice. CANNOT WAIT!

My dealer quoted me the SOA standard 8-12 weeks when I ordered my Forester last summer - it arrived in 8 weeks.

I'm hoping the 16 week lead-time on the WRX gets pulled in at least 4 weeks.

Anybody know a port date for the west coast? And which port it is? How do you find out?

I ordered 6/9 and was given "last week of October" as the estimated delivery. Just got a call from the dealer this morning that it's been moved to "the month of August". I think they go with something they can guarantee and then update when they know more...

I believe my contact at Grand Subaru in Chicago told me theirs come in through Vancouver, so likely the same for Sconnie dealers.

Can't you guys just ask the dealer for the name of the ship that has your car on it? Pretty sure they would know.

If you just ask for your cars window sticker, it tells you which port it goes to and the carrier name.

If your dealer has the vin, they should be able to get you the window sticker but not 100% sure about that.

I'm still wondering if someone can do the ship locate for the boat slated to come into port 7/7. I believe it comes into either RI or Boston.

Edit: I do see a ship slated to hit port 6/26. Mine was scheduled for 7/7. Hoping it's coming early, but I am thinking there is probably a shipment coming in before mine.

I used to track ships for my previous orders, too lazy now.

I think there's a way to find this information on a website called fleetmon.com and they have a free trial (from what I read). But sadly, this website is blocked at work so I was not able to view it.

I fully understand the desire to have more visibility into the process... but it won't help your car come sooner. I like to think that patient waiting will be rewarded. 🙄

Some of us have a crazy busy life and have to drive hours to take delivery. I have to know a close date so I can plan in advance.

That is true, I guess I'm lucky to be an hour from the port and 20 mins from my dealer... always another perspective I suppose

Well, I do have a busy life, but mostly I am just impatient! I do realize that the waiting and the chase is probably more exciting than when I get the car. But this is a vehicle I have wanted for a long long time and it is finally coming, some day soon !
