Default Misting engine bay with meth through BOV

I am wondering how many of you run atmosphere vented BOVs with meth systems, how easy is it to set the car on fire from meth fumes and elements reaching hot engine parts
when I was fabricating my intercooler piping, I ended up welding the BOV port shut, and switched to EFR integrated BOV system, but I do miss the sweet sound my Tial makes

It is kinda hit or miss. Some say 50/50 water meth won't light off. You could see if it lights under a blow torch.

A friend of mine runs 2 of his cars on straight methanol on the street and hasn't had any issues at all. one is turbo and the other is twin-charged, both have bov vented to air in the engine bay.

i think as long as your BOV is before the nozzle it should be ok. even if it doesn't catch on fire, methanol will corrode things in the engine bay.

you can pull meth through BOV even if you put it before the IC

an easy way around it would to be re-circ it to the turbo. no fumes in the engine bay and the meth cools you turbo

My thoughts too. Eat paint, corrode metal, deteriorate hoses.

That would be a lot harder to do though.

That would be the ticket.
