Default Noob to Forum with a Noob Question!

Got my 09 WRX two weeks ago and am loving the EFF out of it. I am getting to work earlier now in the mornings, because I am looking forward to drive to work.. and I countdown the hours till I can drive home.

I have a question though, the kartboy short shifter install... I was looking for a DIY guide, but the only one I could find with pictures and stuff is the one on scoobymods.com. That might be enough for most of y'all.. but I wouldn't know a monkey wrench froma torque wrench... and i would really like to know EXACTLY what i need to do before going in and swapping out the shifter. I've tried the forum search, but did not find anything.

How different are the 09s from the 02s as far as the install of the kartboy shifter. And also, I am supposed to buy the kartboy ss that was meant for the legacy, correct? has anyone had experience with the 09 wrx and the kb ss?

Thanks in advance.

You need a 10mm socket and wrench, snap ring wrench (or something to get a snap ring out), a flat head (to help get plastic tabs off on the console), and that's it!

EDIT: This is just for the shifter, not the F/R bushings.

Also, I'm in Houston if you want it installed.

Send me a PM and I can knock it out for you.
