SPT loud? I always thought them to be pretty silent lol for an aftermarket exhaust.

Clear bra when you can as this paint is thin. I got chips in my hood and bumper already =\ I only waited a week to do it. Stupid trucks around here ='(

Babying it is more to do with clutch break in not the engine lol. Change the oil early I did 500, 1,500, and then 3,750. But I got on it at 100 miles due to I break in my engines different than the manual

I figured if I bought a car off the lot u know with sub 100 miles they all been raped by who ever. So now I don't feel bad..I think Cobb recommended a similar break in procedure.

Not to mention this doesn't really do anything. Its easy to tell the flash was done by something other than Subaru equipemnt , so its pretty much a waste of time. Its like farting in an elevator and pointing to the other guy...while there is only two of you there. If anyone wanted to deny warranty all they need to know is it was flashed at one point. Not sure who you think youre fooling

I'm pretty sure with accessport it flashes back the exact stock settings but that being said if u wanna play then u gotta pay. Don't mod and then have something break and expect Subaru to pay.

You got that backwards...Subaru hurt the entire community going with non-forged pistons and a crappy tune.

I know all of us wait until 5 years or 60k miles to at least go stage 1. Right?

They really have a good point. They could have used forged pistons, at least on the STI.

you do realize that the "community" is a very small part of the population dont you? it would be like offering kosher in a cafeteria of 1000 and 10 jewish, end result is not logical and or profitable, not to mention the so called crappy tune is not a fact. the sti was designed with a small window of performance reliability, there is nothing wrong with that, stay with-in it and you will be fine . its widely know , and its once again for the gen population, so don't go against recommendations and expect for them to pay for it.

and as far as flashing goes they can tell when and if it was flashed last. whether it was stock to stock or to st1 it dont matter, if customer is an ass nobody will go the extra mile to help, ( like not thinking of them while designing the engine) and seeing the flash was not is more than enough to have you pay for your own block

I guess that post had to pop up in this thread eventually, like you said they always do. BTW if he is using an accessport, no flashing back is not detectable by the dealer because it replaces the code stating it is a factory flash which the AP stored with his factory tune. More importantly though, Subaru is the one putting the crappy, and dangerous tunes in the cars so F em. When you can gain 10% HP/TQ and way better fuel economy, it should have been that way from the factory. I can see the FB GIF now, Factory Subaru tuning...you're doing it wrong!
