Well I am seeing this for the first time, have considered trying to install a dual avcs setup onto my 207 and go with the DBW but I think this might take a while

I finally got the engine, big thanks to Jack from jdmengineworld.com!
The engine is in a very good condition, even the engine oil was still in. Only the connectors from the IAT sensor and AVCS LH broke off and the intercooler has some dents... The 2.5 intake manifold directly bolts on the EJ207 block, so there should be no problem in swapping from EJ257 to EJ207. Best thing is: it definately is a W20C block with W20 heads. The engine is now ready to get installed tomorrow. UEL exhaust header is bolted on, together with uppipe, Blouch TD05-18G XT-R Turbo, 2.5 intake manifold, Deatschwerks 750ccm injectors, new NGK PRF7 spark plugs and some other things. After install and everything runs i will get a new tune and i'm ready to go. |

Finally: it runs!
Everything fits good, just some small things have to be done. JDM Water temperature sensor is has a different connector than EDM, we kept the EDM sensor. JDM EJ207 Engine has one alignment pin more than the EDM 6MT, so we had to remove the right pin. Left one fits. Turbo-bracket is a bit different from twinscroll to singlescroll. We used the singlescroll bracket from my EJ257 engine. The turbo itself is sitting a bit higher than before, but just a few millimetres. Uppipe and Downpipe still bolt on with no probs. And that's it! After flashing a simple basemap the engine started and runs great, without any CEL or any problem. Short video from the first start: |
